Taken off Newcastle Speedway Facebook Page:

Some very welcome news for Diamonds Fans, in the shape of our number 2 Adam Roynon Racing, returns this weekend just in time for the Derby meetings!

Adam has been out with a shoulder injury since his heavy fall down at Scunthorpe on the 11th June, but we are thrilled to have him back in the team line-up for the fixtures against Redcar Bears Speedway this Friday and Sunday!

The Diamonds will take to this weekends action with a full and complete line-up for the first time this season, and every one of our lads are 100% geared up for what promises to be an explosive couple of meetings!

For all info for tickets for Fridays meeting at Redcar, please contact them direct.

Tickets for Sundays return fixture at Newcastle are available NOW @ www.trybooking.co.uk/BDTC or via turnstiles on the day!

Interesting that the ‘ thread ‘ disappeared yet the majority name caller was the second one to post on your new thread.

Anyway….nice to see the Newcastle fans have jumped on the Redcar thread and we hope to see you all on Friday. Would think your team will perform well at the STMP and make it another tough one for the injury struck Bears. We still haven’t seen the best from all 7 ( now 4 ) Bears so a good choice of guest reserves will be essential and the management have done well so far with their choices.

Diamonds will be difficult to beat at Brough too so I’d settle for the 3 points at home and be happy for a point up the road but having just seen the Sarjeant is now out ( now only 3 original Bears ) who rides Brough well, I think Bears may struggle to get it.

I'll be there.  Hopefully see some great racing.

Ben Cook, Stefan Nielsen and Dan Thompson guest for the Bears, R/R still in play for Stewart

Here are the proposed teams for tonight and it looks like Charles Wright is still carrying a bit of a knee injury...

Redcar “Agilia” Bears

1. Charles Wright 9.66   (C)
2. Ben Cook (G) 4.29
3. Jake Allen       7.16
4. Jordan Stewart R/R 5.48
5. Michael Palm Toft 7.60
6. Stefan Nielsen (G)  4.23
7. Dan Thompson (G)  2*

Newcastle “Grants Event Catering” Diamonds

1. Ben Barker 7.07 (C)
2. Adam Roynon 4.00
3. Connor Mountain 4.95
4. Max Clegg 4.98
5. Matthew Wethers 7.03
6. James Wright 4.00
7. Archie Freeman 1*

Strong reserve guests for the Bears and nice to see Adam Roynon back from his recent injury...

Be an interesting meeting this and depending on how the guests work out could see the Diamonds nicking an away point here and 48 - 42 should be doable or if those guests take a while to settle maybe even closer; however the three Redcar heat leaders should be good for around 36/38 points between them; again depending on how Charlie's knee holds up....

Could be very interesting...

Regards
THJ

Hard to predict a score even with the usual  Bears 1-7 but with so many guests and a question mark over Charles fitness, it makes it even more difficult.

On paper the guests look like good choices, but they did at Birmingham so who knows.

Newcastle are pretty hard to predict too, but should go better here than a lot of away tracks.

Might have something to do with the fact he’s been poor getting out of the gate this year and is having to make extra effort to get to the front ?
