HenryW 1,178 Posted September 19, 2021 Frederik Jakobsen definitely leaving Gniezno to take on a bigger challenge, which presumably means a step up to Ekstraliga. He had offers for this year but turned them down. Wonder where he'll end up?

H20 48 Posted September 28, 2021 What's the rule for Polish teams building teams ? Wroclaw so strong now keeping same team. Torun building a strong side then very strange Leszno replacing the departed Sayfutdinov with Bellego !!!! Seams a strange move that considering who could have been available

Seams a strange move that considering who could have been available No rules apart from 2 Polish U21 riders at 6 and 7 (14/15) and a U24 rider of any nationality in the top 5 plus a minimum of 2 Poles in the top5 - if the U 24 is a Pole they still need another 2. A U23 rider can also be named as no 8(16) and take rides of the top 5 up to the max allowed. Edited September 28, 2021 by racers and royals

BartoszZmarzlikFan 491 Posted September 29, 2021 Serious candidate for relegation next season if Grudziadz can get a deal done for a decent junior rider imo. Leszno fans must be fuming.

Patrick Hansen open to staying at Ostrow now and if a deal gets done then they've got the next big name to come out of Denmark for starters. Matej Zagar is available and he's more than capable of bouncing back by riding like he did for Lublin in 2020. One bad year doesn't make you a bad rider. Other riders on the market who can help Ostrow pull off a 2021 Grudziadz. I said Leszno were a poor team this year and nobody believed me. Wouldn't have even been in the play-offs if Freddie started the season well for Czestochowa. Let's look at the Leszno team rather than base it on club / rider reputation. Koldoziej is a one track pony in Poland. His away scores are awful. Pawlicki isn't reliable and he's on a downward spiral who's even struggling to win races around Lesnzo now. Lidsey isn't reliable who throws to just as many poor performances as good ones. Bellego won't score anything like Emil. If Doyle suffers a dip in form next season then this team is in serious trouble imo.
BartoszZmarzlikFan 491 Posted September 29, 2021 Who would've said ZG would get relegated over Grudziadz this year with a top leader in Dudek backed up by a couple of GP Riders? Then you've got to take into account other things like a potential injury to a key rider. I don't see how my opinion is a bad take at all. Wroclaw, Gorzow, Lublin, Czestochowa & Torun are all stronger next season. Which puts Leszno in a bottom three fight with Grudziadz & Ostrow Grudziadz have a stronger side in 2022 than 2021 and Leszno's team will be weaker in 2022 compared to the 2021 side so that gap between the sides will close up. The opinions on Ostrow is oh well they won't sign anyone good and they'll go straight back down again without even knowing the team they're going to put out in 2022.
