Edinburgh v Poole 27/8/21 7.30pm

Edinburgh with R/R and a pointless gust at number 6 were always going to struggle.  Poole  full took full advantage of beating the team put out to race against.  Even Kent managed a draw last week so  Edinburgh clearly not in the greatest of home form.

Poole should run through card now and take their chances in the p. offs. Maybe their Car park attendant will get to grips with track preparation for the p.offs or else the TV cameras will struggle to see what is going on

Where’s the lemon emoji? :D

Yet again Havelock fails. Basso 0,0 and he gets brought out in heat 8. Why no Cook? Shocking!

If the stream was so good on your HD smart tv how come you didnt see that Basso finished third in heat 1

Beaten fair and square tonight.

Don’t think Richie or Nick would have made any difference. No excuses.

Will take a very good team to beat Poole in the play offs.

Their reserves were excellent.

Great interview with the Roo Boy and nice to see him come round at end to acknowledge the home support.

Hope you have now  got over  your "loss of 3 points "  after EB results were expunged  :D

Poole only lost one point not three. We didn't beat them.

Or do you mean potential 3 points?

Poole second strings and reserves look the business on top of 3 Good Heat Leaders.Basso and Cook will only improve IMO.You never know in speedway though.Lawson is a total waste of space. His bike has sounded like a lawmower all season(as usual)

Edinburgh have a very good top 3, backed up by an improving Thomson. Their issue is they have very poor reserves and number 2. So they are stuck. If a reserve replaces the number 2, it makes them no stronger. They are forever relying on their heat leaders winning to keep them in it, then try to win the meeting in the last 3 heats. This has worked until they meet another team with strong top 3. And who have much better second strings and reserves.

Hume tonight showed superb aggression and a fighting spirit which the Edinburgh riders could not get close to. On his first visit. And to think he has been desperate for a team berth for a couple of years with no one prepared to give him a chance until this year. The Jack Smiths, Cleggs, Lawsons always getting the nod in front of him. He is still learning and has loads of improvement in him. Well spotted Matt Ford.

Anders Rowe to Edinburgh?

Well if true, it must be to replace Lawson and at last they've belatedly got rid of someone whose machinery must rank as the poorest prepared in the CL.

It will be a blessing not have to endure him regularly being underpowered or failing to complete races because of mechanical issues.

Sure "Oor Wullie" has got trackcraft, but it was pointless if he was always piloting a lawnmower:mad:
