And exactly how many times have the bspl followed through with a two year plan

They used to be chasing star names and higher quality though. That no longer applies. The Prem+ (with a little p) model seems to have been accepted and what we do know is that they will follow through seeing how much lower they can go but still make it viable.

The criteria will change...

It has to..

Josh Bates will be a year older with another year riding under his belt...... :D

I wouldn’t bank on that , he has missed pretty much all of this year through injury.

The strength of the Prem isn't really an issue. The main issue is the strength of the Champ. The gap isn't wide enough. The conversion rate needs to be back at 2+- rather than the 1.5. There needs to be a significant increase in top league fixtures too, 10 home matches doesn't cut it. Need other teams to come up & 15/20 home fixtures.

Add in a 4 team tournament, ko cup etc etc.

Something has to be done next year, I don't think these 'Rising Stars' add anything to the Premiership

You're 100% correct however you won't get clubs moving up when they are happy paying Championship money to the same riders.

So you entice clubs up by having rising stars at no.6 & no.7 and introduce a pay structure for riders between Champ-Prem money

Top flight then consists of Belle Vue, Ipswich, Kings Lynn, Peterborough, Sheffield, Wolves, Poole, & Glasgow

The championship is then weakened with 1* rising star riders at no.6 & 7 and team building in place that effectively removes the top 2 from each Championship club, also removes "top 2 championship pay" so the new top 2 riders will be on reduced terms

This then consists of Berwick, Edinburgh, Kent, Leicester, Plymouth, Redcar, Scunthorpe & Oxford.

League once Home & Away with play-offs (minimum 14 matches, 7 home)
League Cup, 2 Groups of 4 split North/South riding home and away once (6 matches 3 at home)
KO Cup - 2 legged knockouts

The emphasis then must be on individual championship which is beneficial to homegrown riders to compete in and earn money from to make the sport worthwhile taking up and keeping riders active who ride here domestically, let the best riders we produce go to Poland but we need something here for the rest

- 12 round British Grand Prix Championship ran on weekends
- 6 Round British Rising Star Championship replaces the U19/U21 series ran on weekends
These two events are for Eurosport, can be recorded and broadcast "as live" on the Monday TV slot if necessary.

SpeedwayGBTV Live Steam service set up charged at a monthly fee of £9.99 and can have some league, cup meetings and other individual races, insights, interviews, classic meetings, documentaries etc.

I wouldn't take too much notice of end-of-season rumours, they are usually hogwash. That said if four or five returned with two or three quality signings to join them I think we would have a decent side.

I would say sad time for King's Lynn, but here's the thing. If they continue with the proposed 2 'Rising Stars' the team building will have to come down to about 32.00, maybe as little as 30.00.

That may throw up a bit of chaos with the other teams, King's Lynn certainly won't be as bad again. This current 7 is a lot more solid than the season starting 7 too.

I think KL might wanna keep their team plans to themselves til after the AGM, otherwise might get some surprising change in voting over rules for 2022, which means their team would have to be changed.

Also looks like Swindon may well be back in 2022 so more riders will be in demand.

And of course as a long time supporter of the Pirates you will have an excellent understanding of how beneficial this can be to some clubs.:)

Another shocker from the Stars.

Just looking at some stats from this season, including todays meeting. Richard and TJ both signed, and i have included Lewi as he has a year left on a 2 year deal. Lawson has been outstanding for us.

                            Rides Home         1st       2nd       3rd       4th                       Rides  Away      1st       2nd       3rd       4th

TJ                                 39                  13        10        11         3                               32                    6           9          10          5

Lewi                             41                   12        9          10         9                              36                     4           13        7           11

Richard  Home 8.98    Away 7.22

TJ   Home   7.18     Away 5.55

Lewi   Home 6.24    Away  5.00
