Poole Pirates Vs Plymouth Gladiators 8th September

Recommended Posts

I can't start this thread without a mention  about Bob Cole

After hearing the sad news today of the passing away of Bob on Saturday it does make you think about life and how precious life is.

The meeting on Wednesday is quite poignant as I know Bob was based down in Devon for a number of years very close to Plymouth and the Speedway.

He was still going down to the Coluesium on Tuesday evening's on a regular basis although still a committed Pirates supporter.

Anyway the show must still go on but  it will be a sad evening when i Iook behind me and see his empty seat.

The other thing making it a little sad is if fit it will be Bjarne Pedersen's  last ever meeting at Wimborne Road before he retires.

Let's hope for a great evening's racing and  3 points for the Pirates.

Thoughts?

Not sure who is guesting at number 6 for Poole, but would guess it’s Zach Cook.

That's fine. Plymouth can get a guest in then! :D:P

Shame Birmingham ride on Weds as Jack Thomas would have been the ideal guest.

Looking at the averages and if I have read them correctly:

Bickley, Rowe, Kemp, Bailey, Morley, Kennedy and Josh Mcdonald.

I excluded Plymouth, Birmingham and Redcar as they are also riding.

So we've used Kyle Bickley at 2 previously so for me its a no brainer to use him at 6!

But he does live at the complete other end of the country, and so may not want to do a 14 odd hour round trip

So with Middlo away playing golf in Tenerife, Havvy takes charge of the Pirates for this one. Advantage Gladiators.

In any case its Anders Rowe at 6.

Good choice! One of the strongest that is available imo.

Nah, even Havvy can't mess this up!  Be a lot closer than the last time Plymouth were down though. Be the closest meeting we have had since Edinburgh were down.
