To be honest the starts throughout were generally very poor inc heat 1 when Craig Cook jumped from Gate 4

Some wierd decisions?

Take my hat off to Berwick though   They seem to be one of not too many clubs who look to be holding there own crowd wise.  It not always top drawer racing but it is what it is so we live with it. A lot regulars on here complain about the track but it not going to change anymore?  Looked a very good attendance last night as expected   All of PL clubs would have liked that.

Craig Cook for sure was going to get that inside dive in Heat 15, no matter who was there, but Leon Flint seemed totally innocent party.   One of not too many correcct decisions.  Shades of Heat 15 in 2019 although later race with Etheridge

1st bend bunching;).That was probably the biggest crowd of the season, but on the whole the attendances have held up well this season.

Must admit I was surprised to see Cook excluded as the refs normally take the easy way out and get all four back for the rerun.

As for the crowds, even with the restrictions at the start of the season Berwick`s crowds have held up very well IMO.

Always had a lot of time for Berwick fans and promotion (well since Peter Waite!!) And fair play to them obviously have a budget and stick to it ensuring speedway every year which is more can be said for most clubs, my own included prior to the facenna's. See you all again next season

Seems when there was an unsatisfactory start at Peterborough (Scott Nicholls moved and Cook stopped) it was all 4 back.

Why was Leon excluded when he looped at Berwick when there was an unsatisfactory start?

The ref wasn’t going to stop the race,he was going to give the rider a warning for moving  after the race(can’t remember who it was)

The referees report says Leon Flint not under power at time of the stoppage for a starting offence (from the speedwaygb website).

Broc Nicol was warned for moving at the start. In the re run Aaron was warned after the race (after being pulled by funnily enough Broc Nicol).

That’s speedway then.

One obvious way to reduced the level of unsatisfactory starts would be for the majority of start marshals to grow a pair and get riders (home and away) to start within 75mm of the tapes.  Its much harder for them to roll if they are closer to the tapes.
