I suspect they will be a lot happier. 4 evenly matched teams in the playoffs will be great for viewers. Both legs will go down to the wire.

Compare that to the dross in Poland.

I can't wait for next week.

Couldn't agree more. Play offs on a knife edge and not much to choose between the teams. Should be exciting stuff if the weather plays ball.

I've enjoyed most of the British speedway coverage this year and definitely something to build on for next year - hopefully a bigger Premier League or even just one big league. New places to visit, different tracks for the cameras, not seeing the same riders all the time etc. Here's hoping!

Here's my points system for this year's TV action (out of ten).

British Speedway  7.5, Grand Prix 5, SON 3.

The GP's have gone stale and need new life and the SON in no shape or form matches up to the old WTC. Just my opinion of course.

27th & 30th September - Semi Final 1

4th & 7th October - Semi Final 2

11th & 14th October - Final

-----------------------------------------------------------

Is it not the Sheffield versus Kings Lynn League match on the 26th,

so the team that finishes top will not pick Sheffield,as they would

of had the advantage of ridding on their own track the previous night ?. Possibly!!.

The relevance of the GP and the SON to British Speedway has diminished considerably over recent years. Out of live sight out and out of mind.

The teams finishing 1st and 2 deserve to have their 2nd legs at home.

Sheffield will need to find a neutral track IMO.
