Because boro won't want Belle Vue, so they will almost certainly put us against Wolves for them to knock us out.

Got to get to the final first and ensure huge crowd for final. See how they do against Sheffield this week.

Speedway surely needs to look outside of the box with their views of promoting the sport.

Cricket just held its T20 finals day....sell out crowd at £89 a ticket for 3 games of cricket......

Speedway left squabbling over who plays who until a few days beforehand, who can race who on what day....... needs some 21st Century promotion.

So £30 for each match and speedway fans complain their sport is over priced?

See now this would be better. League winners are champions then do a play off competition separate at the NSS or even at the league winners track.

If you did something similar to T20, you'd need a squad system in play. Imagine if you lose a couple of riders but scrape through to the final Then what? Scrounge from the side you just beat in the Semi, it would look even more Mickey Mouse IMO.

Doesn't mean anything though. Playoffs are to win the league, you certainly won't get the same crowd level imo.

Not with something that has been associated with winning the league since 2002! Do the prem even still do the KOC?

Eurosport won’t be happy tonight, they were all set to make the big announcements tonight about playoffs.

Will now have to wait till Thursday and they won’t know where they are are going next Monday!

I suspect they will be a lot happier. 4 evenly matched teams in the playoffs will be great for viewers. Both legs will go down to the wire.

Compare that to the dross in Poland.

I can't wait for next week.

4 evenly matched teams ? You've changed your tune (panthers were going to romp it) However  Panthers are still favourites, having the choice of opponents is still a very useful post advantage.
