No Schlein tonight. Poole operating r/r. Rory has tested positive for Covid and will miss our next away meeting as well at Leicester next Saturday.

I am coming up with Rob tonight but that’s stuffed us for the win.

Steve and Danny (both track specialists) can each take a r/r ride. It will however be a steep learning curve for both Bens and probably Havvy too!

At least there are a few more options for a decent guest next Saturday as r/r is always a risk in case of further injury as we experienced at Brum!!

Lets hope there are no more positive tests for riders or mechanics!

It is overcast but warm at the moment but pockets of rain are on the radar, of which some might hit & some might miss but overall should not cause an undue problem.

If Schlein has tested positive for covid from Wednesdays home match surely there are mechanics, management staff and riders who were in close contact with him this week . So what is the protocol from a sporting event with regards people in close proximity ???

There is a government website which is quite handy to use

It says in local media that they take tests every 48 hours (I think). So they have all been tested since Rory's came up positive and everyone is negative so far.

So which riders are now rushing to Scunny now that the Redcar v Leicester meeting is rained off?

Douglas for Schlein?

Not sure who else could cover for Aarnio but most would be better than Andersen

If Douglas guested for Schlein, that would be result decided before we even start. Not sure regarding the averages and who would fit for Aarnio but would be nice to have Jake Allen in, but would almost certainly say his average is too high.

Nothing will change for scunny though would certainly be a harsh move to cancel Andersen's booking at this late time

Howarth for Aarnio? If Scunny want playoffs they need to be ruthless at this point

All the best to Schlein. Surely there as got to come a time when all this isolating business as got to come to an end. If u've had 2 vaccines then get on with it unless u feel to ill to ride.

Pirates still to win, I predict 47-43 with Basso on the Gasso being the Pirate to be the rider of the meeting!

C'mon the Pirates!
