Russian ice speedway being cancelled due to lack of funds... Never thought I'd read that.

Tbh I didn't give it much attention. Russians were angry. Could be that a sponsor dropped out, or made too many conditions....

As you say, doesn't look good yet again for any Continental natural ice tracks in the west

There is nothing mentioned in anyway about it in the press release, which i find a bit odd...

Yes, has another look and you are right

Team World Championships are not on the calendar.

Also seen that the MFR have said that only Valeev should have a wildcard. All other Russian riders must take the usual route of qualifying through the Russian Final, as Krasnikov did etc......

I know Rob Irvine is going training at the end of November (met up with him at the SoN at Belle Vue), although I understand Tim Dixon is planning to train with Simon Reitsma and some of the Dutch lads. I haven't heard from Roger Newton but I think he may be considering training again.

There will be multiple changes to the proposed lineup above. No Brit, no Swiss.

Holland, Czechia and Sweden got a extra place.

Can you stream N Sport+ or can you get it through Virgin/ Sky?

Worrying times for Ice Speedway Gladiators in Western Europe again this year, such a shame :- (
