What was the time for heat 1? My guess is 87.46. :)

No time recorded as was not classed as a race from what I heard.

It's in the results section as a 3-3 on the speedway GB website.

No result / time announced as the referee didn't declare it, despite the SGB website showing 3a3 - the fact the starting marshals made a cod of the flags and three riders completed, I won't say raced, five laps, is neither here nor there... Thompson's time was 60.96s

Not a bad time all things considered. I know the track record is 55.59, but a "usual time" in heat 1, looking at live updates, is generally in the 57's.
Hardly unrideable eh?

Actually, Dan can take a few accolades....
1. Fastest time of the night.
2. A full maximum.
3. Only rider to broadside his machine.

This would all be very amusing had I not spent 11 hours on the road yesterday to witness this one non race. Oh well, there's always the trip to Kent tomorrow.

Just curious.  Who pays the away teams travelling expenses ?

More to the point, who pays the away fans travelling expenses?

It's a rhetorical question btw.

Felt the same when I arrived in Leicester the other month to clear blue skies. Meeting had been called off in morning with Edinburgh due to adverse weather forecast. Still stayed as was going down to Kent and then up to Birmingham who ditched us for you.
Dale Devils and Kent NL the other night. Both teams got mucked in and rode in the rain. Well done lads.

Yes, it seems it doesn't take a lot for Leicester to call their meetings off!

Well seems Hans was 'fuming' last night. His words. Apparently his point of view was being rejected as he was not happy with them doing H1 or attempting to.

Agree have sympathy with the travelling Leicester fans, i looked at the forecast on Saturday and all was good indeed it improved on Sunday morning (apart from that foreseen shower at about 3:30pm).

So i booked trains and hotel.....
