Practice and qualifying will be at 1300 local time As for Cardiff and maybe Warsaw there is every chance that practice will be on the Friday due to the temporary track. If Discovery don`t carry on with the earlier Cardiff start time they will alienate a lot of people !! Discovery are only interested in viewing figures. So if their potential big audience is in Poland - they will have the meeting start to suit the Polish viewers. Stuff the punters at the track, they will see it at whatever time suits the TV audience. Neila 1,087 Posted October 11, 2021 Things can change by August, but now need a covid passport to enter large events in Wales, if double jabbed, proof of negative test if not jabbed

Have a look at how many Premier League fixtures have not only the KO time changed but also the DAY. Actually 5.30 Saturday afternoon isn't that bad as gives time to eat & drink after the meeting. Just wish they would hurry up and start selling the tickets.

Noodles 1,337 Posted October 28, 2021 I see that the Principality Stadium must now keep the roof open for all events to help minimise covid transmission.
OveFundinFan 4,133 Posted October 29, 2021 Re Hotel prices In all major sixties AROUND THE WORLD hotel prices are always high whenever there is a popular event in the area. It’s not just a speedway thing, it’s everything that’s popular. We have started holidaying in the uk air stays at Premier Inn, good quality rooms, good service, usually next to a pub with food so breakfast/evening meal sorted (extra), clean and tidy. We last stayed in Premiere for a week in July this year in Norfolk and it cost circa £240 FOR THE WEEK. Broken down, some nights were dearer then others. I gather there are nights during the week more popular with reps, and weekends (Fri/Sat) are usually more expensive. Even today Premiere, and similar managed chains, are advertising rooms at circa £32-£35 per night in big cities…… but not when a big event is on. They know sports fans, pop fans, concert fans, major conference goers etc will pay bigger prices, and these make up for the bargain prices to be had during the year, people will pay 3 figure sums for one or two night special events, but don’t want to pay 4 figure sums for a mum, dad, two kids week long break. It’s how the hotel trade goes, and it is generally acceptable (though painful).

Agree can get some good deals for premier Inns, Friday nite before SON center of Manchester paid £35, but back in September premier Inn at Torquay £180 a nite !!! Midweek and no major sports, probably due to staycation

Joseq7 351 Posted November 8, 2021 Does anyone know what the ticketing arrangements might be? Presumably the SGP1 isn't free included with the SGP ticket? Assuming that is the case would we imagine there would be a reduced cost for the SGP1 event if you're already an SGP ticket holder? Same seats? How well is it likely to be attended? If the don't offer some price incentive and if you keep your Saturday seat there could be less than ten thousand rattling about that huge arena. I recognise that most of these questions are complete imponderables at the moment.

lbw 862 Posted November 29, 2021 I don't understand what Discovery are doing with SGP2 .....No where else would the starters be served after the main course!!!!! In other motor sports like F1, MotoGP, Motocross etc the 'support' classes are all run before the main event. Only in speedway could it be done head over a*se!
