Some of these Polish riders are massively overrated. They wouldn't cut it in the Premiership.

Totally agree

Not sure it was worth fifteen quid but it was reasonably enjoyable without being edge-of-the-seat stuff. The Poles looked ill at ease for the first few heats but improved as the night went on and probably would have won if the meeting had gone the distance. That said it was encouraging from GB who I thought would struggle but could have been further ahead but for various first bend misfortune. Best wishes to the injured riders particularly Adam Ellis.

Wouldn't it be interesting if there was a speedway equivalent of the Champions League?

Poland's champions Wroclaw riding against Britain's champions would be a very close affair over two legs.

Hopefully we see more of them at Tigers meetings in future. Maybe if we sign Marcin for next year, we might convince some of them.

Whatever you may think of previous meetings at Ashfield, the 'delays' this evening were purely down to racing incidents as already detailed above by the more astute members of this forum.  Mr McGregor had the 2 minutes on after the finish of every race other than when a rider had 2 on the trot.

Not so sure many of them were that  local, there seemed to be a lot that had taken in SON  and extended their stay for this match.Pity about the crash and the weather, was getting interesting.Poles we’re getting setups sorted and starting to gate.Brits we’re good though,Harris gave everything as usual.
