5 out the 7 are good. I’ve seen all too often when u say you’d replace riders the wrath of rider support.

If that is the rumoured team, I personally have doubts. It puts a lot of pressure on Jordan in the main body of the team. Lambo has had years of mediocrity and will not improve and is suspect away. Which ever way you dress it up, Aarnio let us down big time last season. Visa issue or not, he was not that impressive when he did ride for us.  Personally ,if we aim to win at home Auty plus another, would be better option as second strings.

Agree on a lot of points however Auty as a second string on a 7.37 average is a tad unrealistic

Hope we go a different route than having Aarnio again to hit and miss imo

If Tero and Lambo didn’t come back on a previous post stating averages that would free up 12.96. What potential gap filler 2nd stringer are there with potential to add.

You could swap Tero & Lambo for Auty and someone like Shanes, Morris or a new 5.00 rider. If Rob is all about home wins then getting Auty in as a third heat leader, and therefore less pressure, will only help that. Whilst Shanes or Morris are decent young riders too and would realistically sign.

Think if Tero starts slow there is the very realistic prospect of brining Josh in providing he doesn’t sign for anyone else which by the sounds of his Twitter there’s nothing in the pipeline

Josh isnt any better than Tero at Scunny if the aim is home wins… id go all out for Crump on averages around that

Very valid point there in 2019 Josh Auty averaged 8.94 at home and In 2021 Tero averaged 9.10 at home

If Tero could get a bit of away form back, as in 2019 he averaged over 6 similar to Josh. Home form, both could average around 9 so I would think it was about who we could fit in to the team at the initial declared stage, who go well at the EWR.

Nice to have Zaine in for 2022 but I would not class him as a track specialist after a few visits with Sheffield & Leicester. Maybe a track he likes & is suited too.

Last year, I heard a rumour very early on, that if Josh had had his testimonial then he would not be spending money on his bikes & 2021 would be his last year.

If he has got his mojo back, again, then he needs to update his gear to keep up with the top guys & the improving ones which could give him a few more years in the sport. Has he got his head around those tyre issues as 1 win & 8 2nds from 13 rides was not a good performance at home to see but he can pick the brains off the other riders & management.

From what I have heard on the grapevine and I could be wrong (er indoors always says I am ) Ryan Douglas is not a great fan ,perhaps why he never came back to Scunny after his year out, of Josh Auty so it is either one or the other

riders should be chosen on ability, average and budget, not who likes who!

Crump is a good call, but for the clubs future pay for points not a guarantee
