Belle Vue v Peterborough Panthers - Grand Final

Title has now been decided. Only a massive croak for Panthers will lose this. As a neutral it’s a shame BV didn’t get a ten point lead but Panthers were not harmed at all by Andersen injuring himself. They had the riders to cover.

Nicholls turned the clock back and rode a blinder on a track he doesn’t usually ride well.

It would be great for Bjarne to hang up his leathers with a league title, and we can give him a proper send off at Poole at the end of this month.

Have you seen the two results at Peterborough this year?
Belle Vue ridden better away then at home all season .

He did what he wanted to do by ‘79

There were only a handful of top races at Wembley that night but that’s all people remember

I remember the whole day quite vividly... including my dad buying me a can off coke because it was so hot... for £1.50!!!!

He was right though.  Take those two races Penhall won on the line out, and there was very little else in the way of racing

Did you go?

Excellent meeting.Panthers dug deep to  get that result and thoroughly deserved to get within 2pts.A fully fit MPT and Andersen and they would have won tonight imo.Strange choice of guest which is very unusual for Rob.

Lyon said they had withdrawn him as he bashed his head on the temple. If it was just a cut Andersen would be riding.

Pre caution as concussion could set in

It was officially announced in stadium withdrawn due to concussion, that would have come from clerk of the course.

Rob Lyon,, what a man,,, if only my team had a team manager

That bloke is an incredible Speedway team manager. There is nobody like him, seems to lift teams & rider's above their level.

Because your mum says so?

Because facts said so.

Belle Vue are average.

0-4 vs. Wolves.

1-1-1 at Home vs. Panthers (Only win was tonight when he had injuries galore)

Won once at Sheffield in three attempts and was only successful due to track conditions.

Panthers top of the league, Beat Wolves away with IRR, Lost by 2 tonight with IRR and a rider with two broken fingers.

Still think it's 50--50 who will take home the title. Both tracks favour the away sides quite often. That's not even me downplaying it.

What a track, what a meeting, what fantastic racing.

Was umming and ahhing about going Thursday but definitely am, think it's very much in the balance as BV have hit 50 on both their visits to P'boro although they look a little vulnerable at reserve.

Can't wait.
