Think Peter Collins raced in a world final with a broken leg

I think the accident happened at Hyde Road where a drain cover hit his leg.

Best of luck to both teams, hopefully a safe night for all the riders too, and that we get to watch a Second Leg that goes a fair way in matching the First...

I don't finish work until 6. Working in finance is tough.

I wish I was in the Harvester eating a greasy burger with a pint of coke.

Cant you find a wine bar showing it in Canary Wharf?

Been there once, 1976, I think. The riders going round was like the sound of a brace of WW2 bombers !

Correct...

2nd half race too...

Over 300 stitches in his leg just before the World Final in Sweden that weekend..

Track wet though and he was lifted on and off the bike as couldn't put any pressure on the leg...

Came 2nd to Ivan...

I did also.

If my memory is right think it was at Oxford,  think he actualy fell off during a race. Think he had some sort of blown up splint around the leg.

He should be aware of the rules concerning concussion.

He was not happy when he posted about it on instagram, shame Peterborough didn't tell him on Monday like they should have and putting riders at risk like that imo!

That was such a fantastic performance in the British Final as he not only rode, he raced and passed others.  He was such a skilled rider.

Yes amazing rider very talented, his rides against Penhall were usually pretty good too

Panthers grandstand is full. Belle Vue's grandstand was partially empty.

Maybe because you only brought 20 fans.

Looks like a big crowd, much bigger than Monday.

Maybe because Belle Vue brought 400 fans including two coaches and the Panthers brought 10.
Best fans in the UK by some distance.
