Unbelievable.  If the BBC don't mention speedway people complain. The BBC do report it and they still get criticised!

You may not watch the BBC. Millions still do

Nonsense - Today has around 7 million listeners a week.

So that's 1 million a day... and they're probably all tuning in to listen to the looney stories the BBC love to cover... while the rest of the 65m population carries on living their real lives.

For many years the BBC HAVE GIVEN LITTLE TIME ON TV REGARDS SPEEDWAY.

Yes it is nice to see they put something on but they hardly give any air time overall.

Think your being a bit hard on the beeb, they carried a longish report of the premiership final on the motor sport section of the BBC sports website last week. The media have increasingly and sadly ignored the support while we are in the doldrums. Can we magic a nomination for team of the year ?t

Sad to hear that no senior officials of our sport in the UK were in attendance at Belle Vue yesterday. That's one of the reasons why we don't get much media coverage.

I would say that the BBC is irrelevant to most sports fans

There are plenty of other sports that the BBC don't mention either.  This week we have seen 4 brilliant meetings all live on Eurosport which is a channel that is cheap and easy to subscribe to for many people. So, that is about 12 hours of coverage, plus the highlights are available as well. Whether BBC mention for 10 seconds on the breakfast program is not really that important by comparison.

There is short report on the bbc sport website under motorsport section, but nothing on the home page. However you will pleased to know there is a report on kitefoiling and numerous articles about black sportsman. Its a shame GB doesn't have any black speedway riders as it would probably get some headline coverage then.
