Thought might've gone for bigger track but might be constrained by the size of the site. Can maybe have wider bends with no dug track.

Anyway magic news, and just as easy to get to from the west. Look forward to visiting

Fine news but why the 260 metre track . Surely a bigger one of around 300 metres would be better.

Bloody hell, has Shovlar changed his name on here lol.

With the problems facing a few current venues, this is brilliant news. With Northside making amazing progress, maybe there is a bit of hope for Panthers finding a new home.

Great news for one of the friendliest of Clubs.

Hopefully they can be ready for April / May 2023 or would at a push may it be possible to start at Armadale and then move if new venue was a few months late??

Peterborough doesn't have an owner who will have the fight in him for a new site ,he would be happier perhaps using the AFA for both his teams

Sadly, I think you are right. Can't imagine watching Panthers at the bird cage, to be honest.

Great news. I’m guessing the realistic date is going to be 2024, but this announcement came remarkably quickly in truth.

Probably a good thing the new track will clearly be closer to Edinburgh than Glasgow too!

Wonder if the supreme being will be doing shuttles between Northside and Edinburgh for the next year

Fantastic News for Monarchs Management and fans, hopefully with the basics in place Monarchs can run I 2023.Also well done to West Lothian Council for recognising the Monarchs situation and being Pro -active,something Edinburgh  Council should hold their head in shame for over the last 25-30 years.

Well we’d all like a bigger one, wouldn’t we?

Redcar is only 11 metres bigger, so surely it’s the shape not the size. Lol

Great news. The piece says about the track being 'internationally certified' so you'd imagine it will be something more akin to Midenhall than Armadale with shorter straights and more sweeping bends.

Congratulations to all involved. Hopefully there will be a stronger sport for Edinburghs new track to be part of along with Northside, Eastbourne etc with enough customers and riders to make things viable.

Don't get the obsession with big tracks that often deliver spread out processional racing.

Surely a track similar length  to Armadale and Redcar built to modern requirements with shorter straights and sweeping turns is ideal.

Besides if wishing to retain most of the current 1 to 7 surely give them like for like as opposed to something totally alien.
