BartoszZmarzlikFan 491 Posted November 8, 2021 Ellis isn't worth a punt at all in the Championship when he's got Polish commitments. Look at how many meetings he missed for Scunny during his spell.

May find out something later this week but not sure if I'll be able to share. One thing I do know is that the planned 2022 1-7 has changed already - with the unexpected availability of a rider. Would that rider that's become available be Hans by any chance

Unless there is anyone else who has become available that isn't public knowledge.

May care a little bit more but he'll still miss a few meetings and he'll probably use his poorest equipment in the Championship due to the league ranking dead last in a list of priorities imo. So many Friday Night / Weekend tracks in the Championship now imo to be signing riders who've got contracts in Poland due to the lower leagues scattering meeting about from Friday to Sunday every week now isn't a good move. Riders who are going to turn up every week and put in 100% should be prioritised imo.

But what happens in reality is that clubs sign these ridees knowing their other commitments, making sure though that they are available for most of their home matches, with the ones they miss getting covered by a decent guest using the plus 5% rule, so no issues from a team standard perspective.. You seem to find it is the away meetings these riders miss as the promoters of the visiting tracks earn no money that night, and their crowds are then not the ones being affected by their best known riders' non appearance.... You would simply think they would avoid fixture clashes full stop and run the sport properly without actually, pro actively as part of their operating model, planning in credibility destroying guests wouldnt you? Meaning every meeting, that has no missing through injury riders, gets its full complement of riders contracted to those teams and therefore becomes a proper sporting contest... Not that simple though seemingly...

Wouldn’t qualify as his last prem average was 8.96 so times by either 1.5 or 1.6 depending on what the conversion factor is set at means it will be over 12 so impossible ! STEVEHOLS54 380 Posted November 9, 2021 If Plymouth have already named 5 riders for 2022 including both a 3* plus a 2* rising star as well as 3 H/L, then one would assume the structure and points limits may already be agreed for 2022 ?? I notice that SO FAR Zach Cook has not been named. Ok, still 2 places to be announced but maybe moves afoot to get Zach at Poole ?? Hope this legal battle going on to keep Poole racing at the stadium again in 2022 doesn't drag on too long as am sure riders will want plans sorted for 2022 asap. Interesting to see if Ryan Douglas is on the radar as he is only 0.26 of a point below Rory on the latest GSA. If we are on 41.60 points and the limit is set around 38 or even lower, than something has to give. Leicester are losing Hans A , Douglas and also Zaine Kennedy in 2022 (according to one of the main POL Speedway news sites) and have only signed 5 point Mountain (announced today on SGB) so far. Early days of course.

Early days of course. I only said 'no rider announcements in the immediate future'! That doesn't mean that negotiations and signings are not taking place - just not being announced as if you think about it any rider announcements might influence the legal/rental negotiations which incidentally have already been going on for a month or more!! Poole have already stated last week that terms have been agreed with 2 riders. Along with the riders 'released' by Leicester/Eastbourne/Kent there are still plenty of options.
