The council wouldn't be able to do anything though because it's the landlord's property at the end of the day and unfortunately they don't care about our Sport.

 

What happens if they have to build a 1-7 on budget are you going to sit in your house loving it winding Poole supporters up as well just like you want to with Newcastle because we might be run on a budget but it’s still good to see speedway no matter what the team is!

I'm not winding up Newcastle fans, Newcastle fans are just getting wound up.

Poole are run on a budget. The same as Newcastle. Just that the budget is much higher than Newcastles. By the look of it though, one team is so desperate for the title which seems to always elude them, that the owners deep pockets have come into play to fulfil his desire for the title. Certainly the crowd size they get won’t cover the price of the team. Their fans better have their fingers crossed their team are successful.

Thing is, Poole as a club have a winning mentality. Hard to beat, especially over two legs. Add to that if riders are not on their A game they are under threat of their place in the team. No going through the motions. There’s a reason Middlo is the best team manager in the league. He gets the best out of the riders who want to be winners.

We all know the Poole lineup bar perhaps the number 7. we are going to be challenging at the top as usual, guaranteed a playoff berth and if we steer clear of injuries, have a great chance of retaining our title. Other clubs spending a fortune in an attempt to buy the title might find they are beaten by 7 riders, riding as a team with Middlo orchestrating from the pits.

Plus a grandstand full of passionate fans cheering on the team. Come on you Mighty Pirates!

Matt has just appeared on BBC South Today, repeating his radio interview from this morning.

The dispute with the stadium owners is as much to do with justifying the imposed rent increase when Gaming International have let a number of areas of the stadium dilapidate as well as withdrawing the catering/hospitality facilities.

Just have to wonder whether Stadia Uk are in breach of any of the terms of their lease with BCP? Apart from car park what income do they receive to pay their rent?

There is also the Day Nursery on site which uses the Champs Function suite. No idea what they are charged.
