What's basso average?

Still on his assessed 5 points as he did not do enough meetings. (5H 3A)

He actually achieved the assessed average over those 8 meetings.

Not sure why Poole are surprised… riders always use smaller clubs as a stepping stone in there progression, thats all Basso has done here and now hes moved to a much better run club.. when you add in how much the new MX bike he would of needed for the Poole track it all makes sense

Poole one of the best run clubs in British speedway, hence the success, hence why anyone that's any good wants to ride for them. What's this about the track, know complaints from anyone, best it's been for a long time, agreed its had its problems, but it's fine now

The track is in excellent condition, we all know it. Trackerman has done a brilliant job and the racing at Poole is top notch. I believe he has been asked to continue his work for next season. :t:

Looking at the likely Poole team, we will again be the team to beat. Three very strong heat leaders two improving second strings, and if it is Kemp at reserve we shall always have someone at the bottom capable of winning heats, as it will be him or one of the Cook brothers. Two titles on the bounce? Highly possible if we steer clear of injuries.

Interesting that you call Poole a small club when  Steve called Glasgow a small club on SM. So both the same size then lol.

Both Poole and Glasgow are big clubs, Poole have been successful for a long time, Glasgow are making strides, year on year, considering where we were at when the Facenna's took over,  that is a major achievement in a short time, starting from a dump of a stadium and very few assets.

No comparison. I went to Glasgow for the playoff final and was shocked how small the crowd was in their clubs biggest meeting. Empty seats all over the place in the grandstand and probably no more than 1200 there. Crowd was double the size at Poole.

Having said that the stadium was tidy, and the fans were very friendly. Nice setup.

Of the Cooks it could only be Zach at reserve as he has the lower average of the 2 Cooks.  Of course the team building could all have changed again?!;)

As has been pointed out to you several times it's Glasgow in November with the option of watching it from comfort of your living room!!

And by your reckoning are Newcastle a bigger club than Man city cause more fans go to their matches?  No didn't think so

They have restricted numbers in the stand, and 1200 is good numbers for us, considering before the takeover by Facenna 's we were probably averaging about 4-500 per meeting, we have had  slow but steady increase in numbers since then, problem is that Glasgow has so much more to offer entertainment wise, and football is huge in Glasgow with Celtic and Rangers
