That's sexist  :nono:

We don't want any of that on here.

Interesting - and possibly unrelated - news item on the local radio this morning that Poole Town FC (with a new chap on board who has Football League ambitions apparently:rofl:) are looking at a new 'community stadium development' and have already been in discussions with developers and the local authority to move things forward.?

Goodness knows where the site might be and although these things will always take a lengthy period of time to progress it'll be interesting to keep an eye on any updates - and whether it will/might impact on the future of Poole Stadium in years to come?!

Move the current track outwards, move Poole Town FC back into the stadium, that means 2 sports at the stadium, problem solved and everyone is happy

Turn the track through 90 degrees, knock down both stands and replace with something far more suited to modern day viewing for both sports, add more terracing and community facilities - job done!  Where's the man with the money and time to get it all done so that speedway doesn't go missing for 2-3 years?!

Speedway in the UK needs more purpose built tracks like the NSS. it would be great if Poole and Poole FC could work some thing out to have a multi purpose stadium on the site.

If the football club seriously have ambitions to get into the league they may not like having the pitch so far away from the fans so some form of retractable/moveable seating on the straights may need to be incorporated.

Even a basic stadium rebuilt would take at least 18 months mostly likely two years with the stadium being partly or fully out of action, which may mean a season or two racing some or most Pirates home meeting at the Isle of Wright or Eastbourne?

However a finished multi purpose stadium with a designed track would be a game changer and worth the disruption. I guess it all about the ££££££'s and the willing of the local council.

This site has been on the drawing board for the past 5 years.

The majority shareholder has been dwalingvwith it.

Doubt very much it involves the speedway although that might have changed.

Was also told it was near to the town centre.

Matt first mentioned this rent issue in the meeting vs Brum on August BH Mon and now we are in Dec, so slightly worrying how long it is taking. But maybe he is just standing his ground more than other people would? A poster earlier did mention that it is a case of crossing the t's and dotting the i's. Hope that is correct!

Haven't the landlords (or actually the lease holders) of the stadium stated @ their other UK stadiums the rent figure asked is none negotiable it's  just simply take or leave it!

They rent it off the council though, so not sure if they can say it's non negotiable at Poole?  As wouldn’t they have to get permission off the council to do that?

Your thinking of the ARC group who own Birmingham, Newcastle and Sittingbourne, different landlords at Poole...

If its to be near the town centre where on earth could the site be? They are hardly likely to put it in Poole Park!?
