I don't see the problem, Poole had to ride on Thursdays same as Swindon when protected race nights in the Prem! Where's the difference?

1.No local derbies vs Poole on a Wednesday .... Oxford will have to ride on their alternative night .

2. No chance of Poole supporters visiting Oxford.

Oh yes Poole didn’t last long riding on a Thursday in the Prem ...

Seems another self interest decision from Rob Godfrey and his beloved Scunthorpe.

It wasn't because of riding the same night as Swindon! Thursday just doesn't work for Poole fans unless it's a playoff final ;)

Congratulations  on your return. Perhaps it would be fitting for the master ( in my opinion the greatest rider of all time) to be the first to ride the track.

The money man at Oxford isn't worried about money apparently...

I have no idea. But it appears that's why the premiership were worried about them. Makes sense if they had Doyle lined up!

Kevin Boothby is now the stadium 'owner' with a ten-year lease to re-open the stadium and make it a fully operational, 24/7 Leisure and Sports facility.

He is a greyhound track owner at Henlow(?) and one other. Also had involvement at Towcester racecourse - but not sure what the situation there is now?

He isn't rich by any means, more Horton than Frost.

Oxford used to run a few Wednesday meetings in their elite league days.

...also during the glory years when Nielsen and Wigg ruled Cowley.

As he is the Leaseholder once his monthly lease and other bills are paid anything else goes into his profit margin I would think

So entrance money plus beer and food sales and any sponsorship will hopefully make the Speedway breakeven at the very least and any profit is great.

As Jamie Courtney said in his interview I heard on the Radio. Hopefully some big crowds for the first few meetings then a successful entertaining team keeps the paying public coming back.

Poole are the yardstick

Since Matt Ford took over they've had good entertaining teams and due to the success and footfall that brings they get decent sponsors and advertisers
