I see Jack riding for BV Colts, being with Archie Freeman,  and he is loads better than the comments about him. Hard rider, good gater and not frightened to mix it.

Really pleased for him to get another chance and I hope he takes it.

You have ask why he is still at the level he is though. There are other riders in the NDL with the same CV.IMO.

Blind loyalty is prevalent in speedway, everyone else can see certain riders are crap.

Thinks he's better rider than he is. Kicked up when we released him for Connor last year. Funnily enough he won't on to get chucked by Plymouth too

Jack Smith may well be a heat leader in the National League and he should be able to score a few more points then George but you can't compare him to other heat leaders in that League, he won't score the points that Edwards, Jenkins and the Thompson twins will score that's for sure.

Quite happy to be proved wrong and I wish Smith all the best, but there is nothing, from his previous attempts at Championship speedway, that would suggest he is the answer to Newcastle`s problems.

His NDL average is 5.75 not really a heat leader average

Well i was going by his starting average on the Belle Vue thread which was 8.70 but don't know what his current average is to be fair.

Not really sure what to make of the change?,,, but it's a change, that was 'promised/mentioned' at the last home meeting. A wouldn't bet against BWD being next on the departure list. Just my opinion tho.

The fact that Smith has been signed suggests that’s the only change in the pipeline. Even if a top rider becomes available it doesn’t make sense to drop BWD. The team is that far below the points limit that only the weakest rider will need to be replaced ……. which is Smith. So unless George has asked to be dropped why sign Smith just to drop him straight away?

Maths is easy.

 8-70 is higher than 5-75 = minus 2-95

Correct!!!,,, funnily enough tho, its around about (even a magic one), roughly a 1.5 conversion factor if you're in a parallel universe going back to the start. ;)
