Supreme Stylist

Recommended Posts

I was lucky enough to see both Gote Nordin & Tobjorn Harrysson most weeks at Somerton Park and Gote Nordin winning the Internationale in 66.

They would be my picks obviously 2 different styles

I've heard Poole fans suggesting that Matt Ford was their best 'Supreme Stylist' B)

Others might go for Geoff Mudge, another stylish Pirate.

Just watching Hans Nielsen, he really did, as dave Lanning say's, make it look so easy

What about Jim Airey as a stylist-my nomination for the most UNSTYLISH has to be Clive Featherby

Are you talking about UNSTYLISH riders in the last few posts after my comment on Clive Featherby (R.I.P.) 'cos I can think of a few more- wot about you Norbold/Chunky et al. you must have seen some of the most unstylish ever!!

Mike Broadbank(s) didn't have the most conventional style!

Never heard that one but he was very difficult to pass. Arms and legs everywhere but great to watch. One of my favourite 60’s riders.

Some supreme stylists that come to mind for me are Craven, Sjosten, Lofqvist, Harrfeldt, Loram and Kelly Moran (especially on the US tracks).

Les (or Legs as he was known!) McGillivray springs to mind.
