Has this any relevance

Amendment to 2022 Regulations 012.4.3 Rider Replacement (RR) g) Premiership teams can nominate their own named Rising Star or a rider with a Championship average of 3.00 or below who is not declared in another Premiership 1-8 as an additional rider. (AR) Issued 29/03/22 by the SCB Office.

Ammendments already. :(

But I still see nothing that enables the AR/no8 to replace a reserve in a programmed ride.

Anyone know anything more definite about this league? Will it actually happen this year? Any fixtures, or squads named?

I was wondering the same thing, have any matches been raced yet?

Louis tweeted this to someone a few days ago

There's nothing there about being allowed to be used during a match, other than when R/R is in operation.

Correct. That response from Louis was in direct response to someone asking that very question. Unless using R/R, the number 8 would have to be named in the 1-7 for the meeting to get rides.

Just checked BSPL website and found some matches have been run (much to my pleasant surprise). However, did look at racecard for one match, and found both teams used rider replacement (hardly in the spirit of the league), and also, no dates for fixtures not yet raced.

Surely by now dates should be agreed, or a statement saying teams have pulled out of the e.

So it seems the Premiership Junior League has been forgotten about. The Southern section only completed 2 out of the scheduled 6 matches & no final has been raced.

It's a pretty poor effort when you consider clubs only had to host TWO six heat junior matches this season but half the teams couldn't even do that!

Most fans knew it was lip service to development and a waste of time and space, this season just confirms what we knew last year.

The aim was to break the mdsl teams who were classed as ghost teams and allow the league chairman's club (who has got the facilities) to run an amateur league using ghost teams.

And what a success it's been........

And before they kicked us all out of the development leagues, the 2 main things they said were unacceptable were not having full teams, and not completing our matches. Just proves what a load of bo****ks they were talking.

No mention of a Junior League or Number 8s, in this year's AGM statement. Presumably the Junior League has been scrapped (or at least it would be if it had ever been properly implemented.

But are we going to have number 8s? Not heard of any team signing one.
