Birmingham Brummies 2022

Newcastle knew they were riding in 2022, so what's their excuse for another 'poor' side ? (not meaning to sound 'challenging', just questioning the point you're trying to make)

Personally i think Newcastle have almost got the team building right on a budget (potentially Congreve on a 4.00 rather than a brit and more for final heat leader could be a blooper but....) built a team of home specialists and dependable riders. Starke and BWD might not be grand marquee signings but Brum would be delighted with either at the present time.

Really? For me Newcastle’s team looks awful.

We will only really know when they come to the tapes.Would rather have a team to watch than no team at all.

All depends who is signed at 5. A team will look below par without one of the heat leaders. Another 6ish point signing it looks a solid team, an 8ish rider and its a strong home side with genuine home track specialists. Its also built to a budget but won't be getting turned over at home every week which should be enough to keep the core supporters happy.

Could see if Jason Doyle wants to double up this season and re turn to the brummies? Worth a call lol

David Bellego? Chris Holder? Andžejs Ļebedevs? Krzysztof Kasprzak? Offer them the money and the crowds will come in.

Doyle number one and Holder at 5.

I know Brum will have a tight budget to work to but this will need to be balanced against having a poor team without having a proper No1, past history over a number of years have shown that Birmingham fans will not turn up to support a poor Team, so far no rider has been announced that makes me want to go and watch them. I know its not easy but Tolley, Rogers and Co need to give this a great deal of thought, Thomas will be a big miss for Birmingham as i think he has more scope for improvement than either Morris or Shanes.

This post will be referenced time and time again to prove that you are a clueless fool.

I believe there are rules that Poland have imposed upon those riders, which restrict the number of leagues they can race in. I would be surprised if any of them would be available to the Championship for that reason.

Jack smith for a reserve spot? Based in stoke so not so far and rode the second half of the NL season with the colts very well and will be looking for a championship side

I expect Birmingham to be well below the 42.00 limit so I wouldn't pick a 3.00 Smith at reserve. Fill the team with 4/5 point men & at least you'll always have good reserves.

To put it bluntly however strong or weak we simply have to turn up and encourage others to do so of we want Brummies to survive.

The annual rent is 50k if we have 20 fixtures that's £2500 per match.

With only 14 guaranteed fixtures if we don't make play offs or progress in the Cup that would be £3571.48 per fixture.

I hope this has been factored in but its a stark message to everyone to support your local club.

We've lost too many.

Without Major Sponsers it’s a big ask in this present climate.IMO

What has changed at Birmingham to make the new promotion think they can get crowds of 1000+,with let's put it nicely a mediocre team when last season they were struggling to get the fans in with Chris Harris in the team who is one of the biggest draws for speedway fans to watch in the championship??

Covatti would be an incredible signing.
