Some riders perform better when on a guarantee, some don't.

The better riders in speedway as per other classes of two wheel motor sport agree their financial deals and then get on with their job of racing in an attempt to win.
Those speedway riders who “need” significant guarantees either doubt their own ability to deliver what is expected of them or smell fear in a desperate promoter. (or both).

Bit unfair that Adam Ellis is being judged on a rumour.

Completely agree.  We don’t know if he even wants to ride in the championship let alone actually talk terms to any promotion.
I would suggest as he rode for Scunthorpe last year considering they run a tight ship quite rightly he probably is very fair with his wage demands.

Not surprising that the British Champion is asking for a 'guarantee' - so maybe off to Oxford then?

Why Poole pay guarantees.

Could you post me the link ?

This is all really pointless, the Promotions can settle riders terms whatever way they want.Who cares, they will just ask the fans to chip in to bail them out as usual.

Clearly some clubs don't get enough fans to chip in!!

Is it anyone's business what a rider gets paid? It's not my business what you get paid, so it's not your business what I get paid...
