Diamonds have not got a bona-fide number 1 in Wilson Dean. His last Greensheet average in middle tier of racing was 6.00, in 2018. For Workington and Peterborough. His average for Peterborough in 2019 in the top flight was 5.47. Cut short by injury.

Which realistically makes them about 5 to 6 points under the limit. They might end up with six riders averaging 6 ish plus whatever Congreve progresses to. Maybe a total team average of 40 points. Effectively a 4 point increase on their realistic starting averages.  That would normally give you a chance of winning the league but not if you start 6 points under the limit. They effectively start each match (away and home) 8 points behind the opposition as heat 13 and 15 are nailed on 1-5's. Until the authorities do something about team strengths (i.e. only one rider over an 8 average) there is no hope for the Diamonds. They clearly need to operate at a lower level but with the National League having so few fixtures that's not viable.

Expect the usual use it or lose it cries to start in July.

Strange that all the negatives were Redcar related ……Oh well.

I would have thought the “obvious” should be more or a concern to Diamonds supporters.

There won't be many teams visiting Redcar will hit the 40 point mark

BWD sleeping with roynons wife and then purposely knocking him off after the race.

BwD should receive a ban for his actions after race 1.

Although I wasn't there, was it as bad as the updates say????

There is one thing having a personal gripe but to take it onto a speedway track is disgusting. Speedway bikes are dangerous enough without any other motive and I have neither side to take in this but I hope it’s dealt with appropriately.

Brad has certainly made himself rather unpopular on certain social medias, even with some of the Diamonds fans. Wonder what sort of a reception he'll get next Sunday, disaster waiting to happen? Especially if he doesn't perform

Very sad when you think of all the great Riders who have proudly worn the number 1 race jacket for the Diamonds.

I actually think a lot of teams will score 40 plus at Redcar.

Most visiting teams will be a lot stronger than the Diamonds and most teams go well here.

Positives from last night - 6 Diamonds riders got some laps in.

Negatives from last night (apart from the obvious) - 2 min warning light off bend 4 needs a bulb in it.  The Programme was full of mistakes (eg Peter Complin, Stewart Robson, but there was many others).  Not a fan of having an interval, just as the temperature starts to drop, especially for those who like to stay behind to watch the Juniors.  Fine in the middle of summer, but not while still in March!

Still have to give riders (especially Brad, Matty and Lee who are all coming back from injury/retirement) time to settle in.  George hasn't seen, let alone rode, any of the tracks (apart from  Leicester), so must be given a little leeway, but it will be interesting to see how he does when he starts making the gate.  A race win will give his confidence a massive boost.

Get well soon Paul Starke.

We didn’t have an interval

So whats the go with Wilson Dean and Roynon? Wiping him out after the race has finished seems a bit low ?

There was 6 minutes between the conclusion of heat 12&13 for some track grading

Could have sworn Keith announced it as an interval.  Apologies if incorrect.

Some personal needle apparently. BWD’s gf is who was previously married to Roynon!

Still no need to possibly injure Adam . Might be old fashioned but keep your off-track problems off the track.
