I assume each pair races the other pairs once?

Yes, as per the heat format published in the regulations. Red & Blue are 1&3, White & Yellow are 2&4, but each pair can decide in each race who will take their respective positions (as per published amendment).

On the Peterborough press release it says that neither of their RS are available. I know Dan Gilkes is injured, but how come Jordan Palin can't do it? As he was riding yesterday, unless he picked up an injury there? They have got Max Clegg as the RS for Monday instead.

Possibly not worth him travelling back from Europe for one ride to then head to Poland again for Tuesday's meeting

It would appear that Jordan Jenkins is the other RS rider not available as it seems hes replaced the injured Dan Gilkes as Peterborough #8 but hes now injured as well

Although theres no press release been made to this effect it seems ,

Weather forecast for P'Boro Monday is a little damp.

Peterborough are a track that cancels on forecasts, 50% chance of light rain from 6pm... at the moment

Absolutely ludicrous Panthers use a guest for a pairs event.

Should be upfront as to why Palin isnt available , if it was a pre Gilkes injury agreement for him not to be there just say so

Suspect few will regard it as a flagship event. Rather another example of failing to provide value for money re season tickets. Even trying to stress their benign benevolence in that they have bot increased prices despite more races than normal

Don't think season tickets count...anyway more to the point why call it pairs when there are 3 riders!?

From Peatboghorror press release:  "... Normal Premiership admission prices apply, with season tickets not valid for this event ..."

They've tried to make it trendy with the use of the Rising Star or #8 - a token gesture - and the semi-final and Final, and of course the GP-style points scoring for the aggregate totals over the six legs.

Any sponsorship, any prize money?

If they were really serious about making this competition something you "must attend" then the third rider (injury cover), would be another one of the top five in the team...

Instead we have the RIsing Stars doing the third rider role...

And one is a guest just to take away any credibility the new competition may have had.... :D

They just can't help themselves can they?
