Think it shows how daft speedway can be when harria can guest for a guy who was never going to score points, and yes have seen newcastle twice this season "bwd" way off the pace .

It's happened many times over the years to most teams. One year we had Andrew Tully injured at P and P, and we got a guest right through till he was fit. Jirout was another example from the mid 00's. It's not unusual. By getting a guest early in the season gives the unlucky club a fair chance to be at strength in those opinion forming early meetings.

We used R/R for Mario Jirout twice and then he was replaced by Kristian Lund.

Maybe the answer is that Bomber goes around and rides for every club in the first couple of weeks?

He will probably achieve this feat as the season goes by anyway, so, instead, make it part of the "launch plan" in those important few meetings for each team...;)

What's the alternative though? Give BWD a new average after ONE league match? Or expect Newcastle to pick a weak guest?

Jirout rode about 6/8 meetings before being sacked didnt he?

was a brainless signing, broke his back the season before and was never ever going to hit the heights he did at Somerset. Lund if i remember correctly came in and averaged around 6 and got sacked for Jason Lyons. Lund then came to Newport.

We should be able to win tonight but will be nice to see Pickering attack the track.

Hopefully he's not feeling a bit sore from last night.

Wouldn’t bet against this Edinburgh team to push you actually…

Pickering outstanding over the last 2 nights and he rides Brough well too dont he?

Pijper in for Paco I hear, some nice practice for the Bandits around Brough ready for 2 weeks time, with Flint and Wells already having rode there this season

Saw it on the Monarchs social media that Mike Hunter had posted paco rides tonight!
