World Snooker prediction competition 2022

My initial thought was 22. 15 reds no colours plus 7 off the colours. Then I thought 21. 15 reds with no colours then 6 off the colours and win by potting the respotted black (I'm pretty sure this black doesn't count in the score).

But there is a lower possible winning score.

The rules are silent in this but logic suggests it would count, otherwise a match score of say 77-70 would be recorded as 70-70, Smith won with a re-spotted black, which I have never seen.

Oh well, I thought it was a serious question!

It was a serious theoretical question.
Take a look at this!

How many times did he have to set up the table to succeed with that shot? Assuming it's genuine.

But back to the question. What is the lowest winning frame score?

And further to my previous post, it isn't 22 (or 21).

It's not real of course. CGI presumably. But done to demonstrate how the lowest theoretical complete clearance is obtained.

I don't care whether it costs me the prediction competition - come on Mark Williams!

  • Thanks 1

Sadly, it cost me...I think the only decent thing to do would be to award at least two points to anyone who predicted Mark! ;)

2 Technik 29

3 Lucifer Sam 27

4 CJ69 26

5= Scott0311 25

5= Norbold 25

7 June01 23

After semis:

1 Lucifer Sam 35

2 False Dawn 34

3 Technik 33

4 CJ69 30 (fair enough in going for those behind)

5= Scott0311 29

5= Norbold 29

7 June01 23 (dropped out after quarter-finals)

OK, I'll go first, that only seems fair, to allow the chasing pack to decide what to do.

I'm going for:

Judd Trump v Ronnie O'Sullivan

This way, I'll be happy if Judd wins it (which I'd prefer), but have the consolation of winning the comp if O'Sullivan does it!

Judd Trump v Ronnie O'Sullivan

That should ensure Judd Trump wins. I have bet against him in every round so far!

Mind you, I have bet for Ronnie O'Sullivan in every round as well.....

Trump -V- O'Sullivan.

I think Ronnie is playing more freely & expect him to take an early lead putting pressure on Trump. I think Ronnie will win by between 3 -5 Frames

Trump v O Sullivan

Ronnie for me, reckon he's got a little more in the tank than judd this year.

Ah but, if I predict Judd to win it and he does, then I win. :blink:

No worries, as long as you pick the guy behind at the time it's not a problem!
