Steve Shovlar 10,439 Posted April 15, 2022 Horribly sudden and unlike an illness or cancer, where the person has time to say goodbye to friends and loved ones, I was told this evening it was an aneurysm that took Nigel away. I lost a friend several years ago to an aneurysm and they are fine one day and gone the next. Truly awful and at this time my heart goes out for Nigel’s family. RIP. mike7164 96 Posted April 15, 2022 So sad to read the untimely death of what in my view was one of only a very few so committed and knowledgeable to the sport as a whole, I remember when he and Andrew Dalby did a double act at Newcastle in 2002 for Jesper's testimonial!! Jacques 3,114 Posted April 15, 2022 I stopped using this forum some time ago. I looked here with just disbelief that Nigel Pearson had died. Then I was reminded why I left. Some of you are disgusting. Nigel will be a massive loss, not only to his family but the Speedway community. He loved Speedway, he was one of the biggest advocates of our sport. A totally decent bloke. RIP Nigel 12

Gert Handbag 10 Posted April 16, 2022 God bless Nigel. Loads of tributes tonight, and rightly so. I'll remember him as s Speedway nut, Baggies fan, and a man who tried to save Cradley. Legend.
Pinny 2,536 Posted April 16, 2022 Absolutely horrible news. he was absolutely superb at his job - his passion for the sport was unrivalled. Watching live speedway on tv will never be the same again. RIP
