JanAndersen 818 Posted May 1, 2022 Well they almost pulled off the impossible. They can hold their heads high after that and particularly with us being so weak at reserve. Sam imperious. Did Kye just not fancy the last heat?

Jaizer 2,798 Posted May 1, 2022 As I said before, it's a strange twist of fate that both teams seem to go better at each others tracks just now. Most important thing is 3 points but hopefully a kick up the a*** for rest of the season. Masters as impressive a visitor as ever seen to ashfield... Yep agree the Monarchs performed admirably, on Kye it was a surprise to us that Pickering got the shout for Ht 15. But as I say 3 points in the bag even though it was a lot closer than we all expected. Edited May 1, 2022 by Gazc

MD 1,299 Posted May 1, 2022 That was almost the most expensive track grade in history. Having been in total command at ht10 and dispensed with the tactical we then only won 1 of the remaining heats and would have lost had Cook not chopped Pickerings nose off in ht15. In any other organisation you would work out what isnt working and change it. Re-grading the track to suit the opposition, and not just any opposition is just insane. 1

That’s the norm for Glasgow grading the track to suit the opposition late in the meeting,it has been questioned before in recent seasons,Well done Monarchs though ,whose Heat leaders all go well at Ashfield. We had a massive helping hand in getting them to 44 points. The 3 Edinburgh heat leader amassed 37 points, quite incredible.
