Why oh why wasn't Shanes given an extra ride over Pearson?  Nearly threw all the points away.... poor management tactics.

I said that time & again last year.

At least he booked Howarth as guest (or did he) which won the Brummies the meeting.

I experienced 'Storm Bugga' in Perry Barr when me Pirates were due to race there!

Hope Birmingham goes ahead tonight & they get a win because with all the bad luck they've had they need to start turning things around :t:

Shanes will be key now he's at no.6, can see him avin sum extra rides.

Av a good evening :t:

Apparently the TM didn't want to give his in form reserve extra rides?

Oh well no points again and with a bloke who in about a 20 year speedway career is back at reserve again which shafts the young Aussie in his fledgling career why oh why does Godfrey keep persevering with lambert give a youngster a chance he ain’t going to get any better.

You can't expect Kennedy to remain at reserve if he scores big each week!

I'd swap you our young aussie for Lambert :t:

Really - so you would swap out a 16 yo with all the potential for a 20 year veteran who has just been dropped because of poor performance - and only scored well because he is riding in reserve- are you joking?

Rubbish... we were 2 points away from Scunthorpe taking a point? Crap management tactics !

Shanes should've taken one of Pearsons rides! It's a no brainer!

You avent got a clue!

You always seem to have an opinion - mostly negative I must say - I would really like to know have you ever ridden a speedway bike or even been a team manager? Just curious.

James Pearson is still only 16years old.

He needs as many rides as he can get.

I have criticised LR may times in the past about some of his decisions,  but i am with him on this one giving JP his 4 races.

If the match was in danger of a home defeat it would have been different.

Brummies won :D

I was waiting for a post about giving Pearson 4 rides and his progression ?

WHY ??? is Pearson's development more important than the Clubs success ?

Ok, if you want him to have 4 rides....win the match, make sure that the opposition can't get a bonus point and put Pearson in Heat 15 (unless you have to put one of your top scorers in that Heat? I'm not sure of the rules as they change so often....)

Good post personally thought James was in the mix all night and think the experience of been in good positions before losing out can only benefit him. Think the criticism of Laurence is wrong as he was proven right on this occasion.

Reckon Harry McGurk wouldn't be a bad shout tbh, always keen to learn and riding well in the NDL at the moment

That would have been far too cheap and sensible. Why back the brits when you can fly in and pay for an overseas rider. Not saying Pearson isn't grateful but i bet McGurk would have ripped your arm off for that level of help

nobody is questioning his need for rides/progression BUT will Brum see any benefit from that? Chances are the promotion/ supporters are paying for him to ride and learn and once the progression comes he will be off to a bigger paying fish in the pond.

The only long term servants of any club these days are those who are track specialists or get no other offers elsewhere.

We were in danger of handing Scunthorpe a point.

'Just' winning isn't the point! (pardon the pun) :D

Don't cheer, but I'll shut up now.... I've made my point and no doubt it will happen again and again and may be again, throughout the season, until we employ a proper speedway manager! (no offence intended towards LR at all....)

How can a home team only take 2 points from a meeting? It's either 3 for a win or 1 for a draw.

The best thing I have read this morning - is you shutting up - we won - we won - be happy we have a team of people making this happen - I wonder if I will ever see you helping at the track? Probably not.
