Probably Batchelor’s favourite track? Or one of them certainly. Nearly always goes very well here as does Doyle.

Doyle goes well everywhere. As for Batchelor never had it  in my head that he was a track specialist i.e. I never feared a visit from him. Perhaps the stats say otherwise ?

Batchelor a Monmore specialist

I think he was less disappointing at Monmore for Sheffield last year than some other tracks. I do remember seeing him employing the typical Monmore tactics for riders that don't really know how to ride it last year: Locking up on the white line on the apex of turns 1 & 2 to stop any riders nipping up the inside as they start the back straight. Somewhat effective but far from quick or pleasant on the eye.

Since 2018, his scores at Monmore have been

5, 14+1, 14, 9, 5+2, 11+1 and 12+1.

For a visiting rider who has never had Monmore as a home track, I’d say that was  pretty impressive personally for a rider of his standing.

Jorgensen on the other hand has a pretty poor Monmore record so that weakens Wolves. Witches got to be targeting at least a point here.

Hume replaces Rowe for Witches.

Is Rowe injured or ill?

I would have thought Wolves is a track that Hume would very much struggle on,,, I'm sure he will be chucking his bike at the fence frequently,, where as Rowes style would suit more

Doesn’t really matter does it? You can be ill today and feel better tomorrow. No need to pull a fast one here as the club can replace Rowe with Hume at any time they wish without giving a reason.

Hope Dougie isn't too battered, Nick Morris also took a heavy fall in Poland yesterday, although he did finish his particular meeting and won his last race.

Could be an interesting night at Monmore.
