Weren't Glasgow also missing Brennan & Basso for their last home meeting?

They seen to race when they have riders missing, but have blank Fridays either side of these fixtures!

6th May - Brennan & Basso missing

13th May - no fixture

20th May - Brennan missing

27th May - no fixture

13th May weekend - Tom was reserve in the Team GB  European Team Championship final in Poland and Danyon and Connor were selected to represent GB in a 4's meeting in Germany.

It didn't matter in the end, but if Glasgow didn't get a 5-1 in H13 and stayed 6 down going into H14, could they have used a TS? Or do you have to use it before then?

Imagine if we had prem rules, would have got a super heat!!

Not sure wot the rule is on tac ride now, think u had to use before heat 12? Can't remember seeing a tac ride used in heat 14, just reserve change.

Tactical substitutes are allowed between heats five and fourteen inclusive, with the exception of heat eight.

Yeah great result for Poole there. Was expecting a Glasgow win.

A better team would have slaughtered us, we were there for the taking. Cook had a rare no scoring ride and Ulle was slow as treacle, despite winning ht13 where it looked like he jumped.

Ruml was very good value though frustrating to watch him continually pull the same moves out at the fence and pass Glasgow riders so easily. Ht15 was superb, Cook on his own passing and re-passing Lawson to get the win. We must do better at home.

I’d say a draw was a fair result tonight. Both guests contributed well. Not sure why anyone would be saying no one gave Poole a chance - complete nonsense. Poole may have been marginally helped by having Ruml, but it was a mixed bag, with 9 heat wins from four riders and two riders providing nothing. Sedgemen replaced Brennan’s points well for the Tigers but as others have said, the shuffling of the order did hurt the other riders. That said, I do think it was probably the right decision to do that.

Great to see Broc on much better form, particularly his first two rides. Ullrich really pulled it out of the bag in heat 13, very unexpectedly. He might be missing a bit of speed but he delivered under some decent pressure in that heat.

All in, good meeting, good points for both teams.

And yes, the referee let quite a lot of movement go today. Didn’t pull anything back. Maybe he had somewhere to be?

We usually only win the odd heat after the dreaded re-grade but managed three this time thankfully. We should only be pulling the dirt back if we are using gate pattern A, which has us using gates 1 & 3 three times in the last five heats. No one I can think of grades their track to their own disadvantage. Its this sh!t that almost cost us defeat against Edinburgh.

Talk to whoever completed the fixture list, not like we can control it

Surely clubs can swap fixtures if they both agree to it?

If a referee has lots of re-starts fans complain he's trying to be the star of the show, no restarts & he has somewhere to be, sounds like refs can't win lol!

Not sure why that would be the case? Riders race for different teams in different countries, so a change in riding order shouldn't affect them much!

As Poole are the best team in the league by far, you have no worries about being beaten at home this year now surely?

Lawson made a pass, I couldn't believe my eyes lol

As did Steve Worrall after the first lap in one heat. You won't see that every week!

Well I'm sure Poole would have agreed to the 27th with Basso missing lol.

Or maybe they just pass more than you give them credit for. As Lawson has passed other riders quite a bit this season tbf. Not sure if it is the same at Lynn @Bagpuss ?
