Berwick v Glasgow CL 28/5/22 @7pm

Recommended Posts

Carry out for the train . Red Lion ( good Rangers pub ) , Brewers Arms , Leaping Salmon and the Black and Gold club .

Yes it's Berwick away , an outing not to be missed . Let's hope for decent weather and none of our riders are away in some god forsaken Eastern European  country for the Under 23 tiddlywinks championship or something equally ridiculous this week

Ben and Tom in SGP 2 in Prague on Friday, hope they are back in time for Saturday's match in Berwick, they are the 2 riders that are difficult to cover as riding way above their official average

Is Tom reserve? Only see Benjamin in the fim sgp2 line up. Would've thought Tom get a place before Ben, with no British riders qualified

Unfortunately, Tom didn't qualify. Missed out by one point and is 1st reserve. Benjamin, qualified by right.

Benjamin finished 5th in the same event Tom was in lejonen, wasn't it top 4 that qualified?

Top 5 from each of the three qualifying meetings plus a local wildcard. Benjamin finished 5th in Lejonen, Tom was 6th.

Can only see a Glasgow win. Not expecting any of the three injured riders back anytime soon. Guests have been hit and miss for the Bandits. Let’s hope there’s a couple of decent ones this time.

As for the match wouldn't say confident. Teams not a team of gaters, and although suggestions are bit better racing at shielfield this year I'd gladly take a point.

Hoping to make it down, haven't told the Mrs yet though

Top 4 from each of the 3 qualifying rounds automatically qualified. They then picked 3 permanent wildcards and reserves. Benjamin was picked as a permanent wildcard and Tom as a reserve.

That had been my understanding too. Why thought might given Tom a perm WC as 2 Danes already in and no brits

If he comes back I on Saturday I truly hope he’s 100% and not rushing back too early!

I stand corrected. However the 3 permanent wildcards all came 5th in their respective qualifying rounds.
