Glasgow Vs Leicester June 24th 7:30

Joe Thompson was very very slow.

He looked on very poor equipment.

Great meeting, lots of good racing and Glasgow really up for it though we've had harder meetings this season. Leicester had 11 last places and an exclusion with little back up for their top three.

Basso was just superb though i do wonder if he didnt get ht15 for his own good. With the rain coming down and the trick becoming slippy the heat time was around 4 seconds slower than earlier in the meeting.

Perhaps its time for Cookie to rest up for a week or so.

Hi guys looking for a bit of info , what is the story with Wullie dishington , I know he is a ref but was not the official ref for tonight’s meeting but was in attendance, so what gives him the right to verbally abuse a young volunteer steward for not allowing him to go a shortcut from bend 1 to the pits !!!!  He stormed past the barricades after arguing with the young steward saying I’m a referee and I’m allowed !!!!!  Pathetic excuse of a man !!!!   Just my opinion of course , as the young steward happens to be my son .

Just the knee, wrist and shoulder injuries for cookie. As has been said before might be best rest for the southern tour

I think we all went into this one with a sense of trepidation,  but in reality it was a pretty easy evening for the Tigers . Leicester had three heat leaders and four passengers .

Horrible crash to start the meeting with Nick Morris' chain going with Cook right on his back wheel . So glad to see both get up , but maybe Craig should take a wee break now , too many crashes recently . After that we never had a failure , but Ben Basso all you can say is wow .

I think refs can go to pits whatever way they choose

Very lucky that at Glasgow, Edinburgh and Berwick you have each one or two exciting riders. Cookie on his day, Basso, Master, Pickering and Harris . Fantastic riders.

If Dishington wasn't on duty then he is just an ordinary punter and surely is subject to the normal rules. Why did he need to go into the pits anyway?  Other refs have been in the pits with their dogs, again a flagrant breach of stadium rules, which these guys seem to think they are above.

Yeah enjoy him while we can, don't expect we'll see much of him after this season
