Speedway Camp Poland

Speedway Ekstraliga Camp is our idea for an impulse for foreign federations and help in the development of young slag adepts. We are all responsible for the fate of this sport in the world - says Michał Sikora, President of the Polish Motor Association.

The Polish Motor Association and the Speedway Extra League are organizing a Camp for young competitors and adepts of the speedway sport in Toruń. For a week from July 18, licensed competitors from the 125, 250 and 500 cc classes will not only have the opportunity to train at the Toruń Motoarena, but also participate in training competitions. All this so that in the future the world speedway will feed the next generation of competitors, and the geography of speedway did not end with a few countries.

- In Poland, we have the best speedway league in the world, the existence of which requires players with the broadest possible geographic potential. Our strategy is global speedway development in cooperation with the International Motorcycle Federation. Using the conditions that we have in Poland, in a few years we can have new Finns, French or Americans in the league, more Swedes and Danes, and maybe even the first Estonians, because there are camp applications from this country - adds Wojciech Stępniewski, President of the Speedway Ekstraliga.

- Speedway Ekstraliga Camp is our idea for an impulse for foreign federations and help in the development of young slag adepts.

- The idea of organizing such a Camp was on our minds before the pandemic, but objective conditions stopped the project - explains Wojciech Stępniewski . - It's not like the speedway will survive thanks to this potential that we only have in Poland. And it is not the case that when we bring to life the U24 Ekstraliga game, we already have all the players in the country who in the coming years will be a direct base for the world's speedway. We believe that many talents can only be released when they show themselves in Poland, and hence a straightforward path to professional organization of their careers. The selection and observation of players for our clubs is one of the premises of the Camp, the possibility of training with the participation of our coaches - this is the second. I am convinced that all roads will be used and that it will bear fruit in the future - adds Wojciech Stępniewski .

- We prepared carefully for this event, because we knew that it had a long-term sense, when in Poland we would give young players not only an opportunity to train, but above all we would provide them with conditions and confront some of the best Polish players - emphasizes Michał Sikora , adding that the total costs of the Camp are covered by the organizers, which is a great help for speedway adepts from many parts of the world.

- Motoarena is a real motor complex, where we can boast excellent conditions for mini-speedway cultivation, but at the same time we have a stadium and a track ready for 250 cc and 500 cc competitions. Under the care of such coaches as Rafał Dobrucki, Robert Kościecha or Jacek Woźniak, young people from around the world will raise the bar even higher and it will be an incentive for them to train in order to get involved in our leagues.

The extra league for speedway riders is like the NBA for basketball players. This is our real professionalism, which young players are sure to strive for - says Michał Sikora .

Classes with a tuner, psychologist, physiotherapist, photo sessions, go-kart integration or the opportunity to talk to speedway stars such as Bartosz Zmarzlik, Leon Madsen, Tomasz Gollob or Janusz Kołodziej are some of the many advantages of Speedway Ekstraliga Camp.
