The first three due to longer league programmes, the last two covid. The competition is on its sixth name: Knock-out Cup (despite most of the fixtures involving no-one being knocked out) National Trophy Premier Trophy League Cup Championship Shield and now Jubilee League In 2003 the Elite & Premier sides all raced in the "regional mini-league" competition. Can't remember it's name off the top of my head though!

Might be able to get Andrew to do it... His diary won't be too full I would think.... And in true Speedway fashion he could cry off and send some random Earl as a guest to replace him...
RS50 359 Posted August 6, 2022 What happens in the final if the teams all have one injured rider? With 6 man teams, do they have to use the 6 fit riders? Obviously would be more disadvantaged to have a top rider out. Or can r/r or guests be used?
Mr Blobby 2,661 Posted August 6, 2022 Whole thing is a load of nonsense. Bring back the league cup imo.

Skidder1 7,636 Posted August 8, 2022 So a 3-leg final, rather than a one-off at Sheffield, now being rumoured?! Presumably because there are loads of spare dates between the play-off dates?

So if had to be at a Prem track be better if it was at Wolves. What happens with Glasgow if Craig Cook and Ulle aren't back? Do they just promote Connor Bailey into the 6 and use a guest? Doubt be much interest from Sheffield fans in it, might get 5/600 fans between the 3 clubs attending. Whereas have extra home meeting each that will be well attended in a space where there's not many meetings happening seems right to me. Could all be done in the one week as all different race nights too

I hope not lol. If guests have been the norm in the qualifying groups I don't see how replacing our no.1 with our no.7 for the final can be right. But it is British speedway after all
