Clearly, whoever created/updated Dick's bio was wrong. He most definitely rode in the 1956 World Final. I know that people often question the accuracy of Wikipedia, but this is the first glaring mistake (related to speedway) I've found. Another great link for checking World Championship history is http://www.speedway.org/history/. Plus, I'm currently reworking the World Final file for Speedway Researcher (there were a ton of mistakes on the original file).

Robbed at the end but far better than expected am I being a bit harsh expecting more from our guest or maybe I should be grateful he turned out for us. -

Agree they do look weak outside their Top2.They will need one of the reserves to step up big time . -

That’s their problem if he doesn’t kick on to be a third heat leader they’re in bother. Atkins is a reserve and would class heeps as one these days also. Killen and Boughen will probably both get better with time. But effectively running with 2 heat leaders a second string and 4 reserves at present. -

I think Klindt's was much more serious.Whilst Iversen did have an horrific crash at Peterborough, pretty sure he escaped with no broken bones. -

And get riders taking guest bookings and scoring nothing so it then lowers their average? That would be a daft idea. -

Not really sure why they've started dishing out guests for second strings, that's what R/R is for I'd have thought. -

Was really impressed with Jenkins last year and thought he would crank it up a gear but seems to be struggling this year so far. -

According to the BSPL site Dan got 21 paid 24 (from 10 rides). He must be cream crackered. It was especially good seeing as how he seems to have got a 5-1 all on his own in heat 12. -

Seriously devalues the product as a sporting contest Farcical situation -
I've seen quite a few comments on fb especially, suggesting that Riss for Klindt is part of a plan to replace Kerr with a stronger rider, but that doesn't make any difference. Oxford are now on 37.88, they can replace Kerr (5.32) with the spare 2.12, so 7.44 available for a replacement. If Riss replaced Kerr instead of Klindt, the team would average 39.24, so they'd have an extra 0.76 to replace Klindt (6.68) which is 7.44!

Really don't think Oxford look that good this year but I'm still shocked at how close Plymouth got to winning this meeting. Thompson twins starting off the season great. -

I think most speedway riders make the money they can, when they can. They're always someone else's accident from being out for the season, so why worry about it too much? -

In Wikipedia's results for the 1956 World Championship final, Dick Fisher is shown as finishing 12th with 5 points. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1956_Individual_Speedway_World_Championship In his Wikipedia bio he is shown as only having ridden in the 1963 and 1964 finals. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dick_Fisher_(speedway_rider) Can anybody clarify this?

Great to see Dan and Joe thriving after the rotten treatment they got last year. Fantastic climax, milking the VAR for all it was worth. But as a Cheetahs fan the Oxford line up looks a bit flabby. -

Don’t rate Oxford at all. Outside of masters and Nicholls the other 3 in their top 5 offer you not a lot. -
