    King's Lynn v Belle Vue 22/8/19

Some great races tonight, particularly when TJ and Dan Bewley were involved. Tractor racing down to minimum. Stars only pulled away in the second half, very close first 8 heats. Good night and all over by half nine ish.
  5. Keep blue sky Buster thinking. He's saving £€$ putting out uncompetitive teams.
  6. Haha, you lot weren't bothered when you blamed Matt Ford for everything. So now you know what it's like. ENJOY!!
  7. Yes, I know its August, and the Ice Season doesn't start for another three months, but the FIM have issued the provisional calendar for the Gladiators series for the next season. Whilst these are still provisional, Inzell, Heerenveen and Berlin are already advertising the dates on their respective websites. I understand the Inzell tickets are on sale already, as the 13/3/20 will be the Gunther Bauer farewell meeting. Also 27/2/20 is provisionally set as the German Final in Berlin, and 3/4/20 will be the Roelof Thijs Bokaal meeting at Heerenveen. Interesting the three rounds in Eastern Europe are on consecutive weekends, but I suppose in view of the travelling it does make sense. No doubt all the dates will all be confirmed in the coming weeks, but if you are planning to take in some Ice this winter it does give you an idea. 11 January Qualifying Round 1 Örnsköldvsik Sweden 11 January Qualifying Round 2 Kauhajoki Finland FIM Ice Speedway World Championship 01 - 02 February Final 1 Almaty Kazakhstan 08 - 09 February Final 2 Togliatti Russia 15 - 16 February Final 3 Shadrinsk Russia 14 - 15 March Final 4 Inzell Germany 04 - 05 April Final 5 Heerenveen The Netherlands FIM Ice Speedway of Nations 29 Feb - 01 March Final Berlin Germany
  8. On tonight's results it shows KING’S LYNN Thomas Jorgensen top scores once again with 12+1 and BELLE VUE Steve Worrall 8, similar score to what he's been getting for us hmm!

Mmmm.....I wonder if this opinion may have changed?

    Swindon v Poole. Prem. 22/8/19

I think Brady was sponsored by this one in Heat 3 and looked like Jack was riding it in Heats 1 & 5.

Well that was a stuffing, Swindon superior and clearly favourites,it is theirs to lose. For Poole Brady rode well and was our best rider by a large margin, Josn did well too and Covatti threw everything at it for little reward. Jack was hopeless, Wells was poor too. For Swindon, Doyle was excellent as usual, Batchelor took Jack twice from behind and rode ok generally, Jensen was superb and must the the bargain of the season on his average, Musielak was ok, Perks was good value and won heat 2, Vissing was ok and clearly was trying hard,Ellis rode well too. Overall a very impressive performance from the Robins. Good meeting with plenty of passing on a well prepared track.

If Lambo isn't coming back anytime soon, we need NKI if poss. Wasn't there tonight, but obviously you was so you know what you saw in Aarino

I congratulated Swindon on their win. They are rivals so not going to be too nice.

I wasn't there, but it don't seem a bad analysis from Poole's most biased fan on here. A few little digs mind.

Lynn need to make a decision by next week.....wouldn’t be surprised if Aarnio is signed for the rest of the year.

Just got back after being detoured through the bloody new forest as the A31 was shut. Credit to Swindon for a very good strong performance tonight and we couldn’t live with them. But really we should at least got close to a point had our number one showed up and Brady hadn’t gone into the tapes. Two points from Holder is not good enough. In heat one of all his meetings it’s either 1 or 0. If I get time I shall go back and check but he gets beaten by riders he should be beating in heat one every week. Decent sized crowd but expected it to be bigger than that. This will probably be the final as well so we need to sharpen up. Too often we we left standing at the tapes but the ref did allow some huge rollers, one from Ellis and heat two from Perks the obvious ones. But no complaints. Beaten by the better team who now have the label of clear favourites going into the playoffs. For a change we don’t have that pressure on us or the expectation. As for the track, far superior to the old race circuit. Plenty of passing tonight.
  22. The Doctor...

    Cook, Vissing and Kennett banned.

Unless there has been another posted, I believe the video you are referring to was taken by me and posted here to disprove someone else's claims that Dugard headbutted Vissing. - it was after Kyle Newman clashed with someone much later in the meeting. He pushed him away from two riders squaring up. It wasn't a physical assault don't be so ridiculous. And it was up against the fence, nowhere near the centre green.

    Swindon v Poole. Prem. 22/8/19

Is it possible that Poole struggled because they were unable to bounce in to the corners tonight? Just reading the Star, and I have to say that I am loving Richie Worrall’s sense of humour. Apparently, and I think he said this with a straight face, Klindt and Scrabble are the best 3 and 4 in the league. Is it possible he meant they are the best at getting 3s and 4s? Keep it up Rich.

Shame the pirates put up such a pathetic fight tonight as the racing was as good as it’s ever been at Blunsdon. If it was a tighter score line or something riding on the last heat, it would have gone down as an all time classic. Heat 15 looked more like a demonstration race than anything else, lost count of the number of passes during the 4 laps. Over the 15 heats there was barely a tapes to flag result as far as I recall. Credit to the track team, they got it pretty much spot on tonight. After the first couple of matches where the track was quite slick but making some good racing, they went too far the other way and put too much dirt on it, making it a bit choppy and unpredictable, but crucially making the dirt line once it built up, the only fast line on the track. Generally you could stick your back wheel in it and not worry too much about being passed. It’s been getting better since, but tonight was perfect. Enough dirt for a decent dirt line to build up, but not so much that it makes the inside of the track redundant. There was a line on the white line (the 1st bend dive bomb should be something our riders should be perfecting), round the fence, mid track cut backs, the lot. Bloody great. People go on about track curating being a real art, but these days, a relatively smooth and predictable surface and the right ratio of dirt allowed to build up out wide relative to the inside, and you can’t be far off. I don’t understand why tracks over here make such a meal of it in general. Credit to Vissing tonight, he deserved to score in each of his rides, even against the middle order Poole riders, not just the reserves. If he can pop out the start more often or be a bit smarter in the first bend, he’ll be doing fine. Like I said about the match on Monday, All the bleating mid meeting about us being useless without decent reserves is ridiculous. Anything can and usually does happen in the playoffs, but we’ve as good a chance of winning them as anyone, really we should be favourites at this point. Just worry we’re peaking too early.

    King's Lynn v Belle Vue 22/8/19

Tero rode well, his two points didn't really do him justice, 2 falls on a very grippy track early doors not helping. For me, a better option than our current injured no 7
