Prediction of 2025 Championship league
Normski replied to Bitza's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Berwick are 1 rider away from pushing for a playoff place 7.46 to play with to replace the unfortunate Danyon Hume -
Why worry about planning permission - were going anyway.

In light of the close match in the BSN Trophy I admit to being a little uneasy before the meeting today and felt we would miss Antti . The uneasiness proved unfounded as both Fraser and Batch produced their best performances of the season to see us home with relative ease. 7 points from R/R was a decent return while the team produced a solid performance throughout with 11 heat winners and only 3 last places. Scunny proved not to be the same force as they were in that BSN meeting with only Steve Worrall and Connor Mountain winning races. Hard to gauge how good this win was when Jake Allen , Declan Kennedy and Simon Lambert score only 2 points between them . Declan was particularly impressive on his last visit scoring an impressive 10 points on his own. The Scorps today were probably as bad as we were on our BSN visit to the EWR so would have been hard watch for any of their fans that made the journey. Thanks to the Plymouth Fans who made a visit following the cancellation of their meeting at Berwick 👍. Thanks also to any other fans making the journey to take in the meeting. I believe we were lucky with the weather today as the north east has apparently been deluged. Tough match coming up at Poole midweek followed by an attractive home fixture next Saturday against the Redcar Bears. They have had the better of us recently and I'm sure the boys will be looking to reverse that trend. Should be a cracker so get down, bring someone if they're willing, make some noise and create some atmosphere. UTC !👊

Is It Finally Time For One League?

To be fair they did commission a report from some marketing consultants about 20 years ago. Although the only recommendation on which I can see any progress is: 'improving the quality of the coffee served to spectators' -

Both Scunthorpe riders in white in heat 15, how is this not spotted? I know some of the yellow looks very pale and sometimes looks white but was that just my eyesight? -
Workington to finish top of league. They are doing everything right(bar administrative matters). Forget Poole and Glasgow, Workington have a balanced team who are getting results. They will certainly be in the top four, and probably finishing top. Look at the stats, Poole might be on an average of 2 per match, the rest are pretty much on 1 or below. The play-offs will be between Workington, Poole, Glasgow and ?

Is it not the clerk of the courses job to tell the referee? -

No if the meeting is won and bonus point is won them you don’t put your best riders in heat 15 The other week against Belle Vue we used Danny King and was so good seeing him beat Kurtz and Bewley Let’s hope you aren’t way ahead in a meeting and still use Lawson and then he gets injured in a race he doesn’t need to be in -

Well meaning amateurs don't have a clue about how you market a product... And, instead of using the Sky money to employ a professional marketing company to move the sport as a whole organically forward... They used the money to pay some "Superstars of Speedway" a massive amount of money, who then, almost to a man, all "effed off" when the money ran out.... A level of money which then brought inflated salary expectations for everyone else.... It has been just one "make do and mend" decision after another with zero clear plan for future growth for two decades... Band Aids being applied to severed arteries.. What we have now is surely the very bottom, so, as the song said, the only way is up!... Can they do it right this time and build some clear future with growth? Historical evidence isn't on their side, but let's hope.. -

I don't know why they're not appealing that as they don't seem to have breached any regulation
