  1. Past hour
  2. Well it does help that finally the GP graphics are spot on, which if you freeze the screen after 20 heats it is so simple to note. who are the top 2 who go to the final who finishes 3rd,6th,8th and 9th for LCQ 1 who finishes 4th, 5th, 7th and 10th into LCQ 2 I put the finishing position against the riders name ( after the gate draw) so i can easily see who gets the extra point for 2nd, 3rd and 4th. After all i am a professional LOL
  3. Well why didn't somebody just say this 😉 I'm not going to lie... it still makes my head hurt especially when it comes to the final GP when it's all settled. I probably need to lay off the alcohol when I'm watching it I obviously need all my wits about me and my full attention!
  4. Yes got it in 1. i score 12 GP points and you score 11- fair reward for me outscoring you over 20 heats ! it’s not often anyone qualifies for the LCQ’s only scoring 5 !!!
  5. Hang on a minute... am I misunderstanding this? If I finish with 5 heat points and qualify for LCQ1 and you finish with 11 points and qualify for LCQ2 and we both finish 2nd in our respective LCQ's you get 1 more point on the basis that you outscored me in the heat qualifiers?

  7. What e daft post so Berwick are second bottom so they should strengthen?😂
  8. Really it’s not difficult to understand - there are not more points in LCQ 1 than LCQ 2. Various people have explained that finishing positions after 20 heats determine everything for LCQ 1 and 2 and final. both semi’s are in theory equal as the 8 riders appearing positions add up to 26 in each. i have said for a long time that this format does mean every race counts. both 4ths in the LCQ’s get 8 and 7 GP points. The points awarded do depend on both riders finishing the race. That was why even finishing 8th Fricke finished lower than Doyle ( 10th ) both 3rd’s get 10 and 9 - Kubera(5th) got 10 Lebedevs(9th) got 9 both 2nd’s get 12 and 11- Holder (3rd) got 12 and Woryna( 7th) got 11
  9. Plymouth tried to get Redcar down for the knockout Cup by they were having none of it for whatever reason
  10. Last night was possibly one of the most hostile sections of crowds towards a SGP winner. Madsen really has frustrated and angered a lot of people in Poland.
  11. I think that Bailey will be a great capture for some team - however, the facts do not stack up for an instant 8 - 9 point average. In SON, he scored 14 + 1 from 5 races (average 3.00 per race). People seem to be concerned about Mario not adapting to British tracks after a couple of meetings but he scored 17 + 4 from 7 rides (average 3.00 per race) - Tate Zischke 0.00, Mitch McDiarmid 2.71, Bartosz Bańbor 3.11, Nazar Parnitskyi 3.00 average. I am not suggesting that Mario is going to suddenly hit a golden patch but it would be unfair not to give him a few more meetings to settle in.
  12. Shame he did not teach Morris also! Might have provided the basis of a good GP year. I'm going to the Belle Vue GPs and worry more about the damage Morris can do than the high risk Manchester weather conditions.
  13. How long has it taken for him to realise that every race does not have to be run in monsoon conditions!! Generally he floods the track to almost the point of meeting abandonment every 4 heats - why? Does he think that the massive extra risks of wet track racing are what the spectators or riders want? Tonight was well over watered for the start (same water an hour or two hour earlier would have been better. However, the moderate watering every 4 races allowed the track to form racing lines. Okay, the racing line got a bit close to the fence at one point but, for 30 degree heatwave conditions. it was always going to be challenging. Let's hope that Morris has learned something from tonight.

  15. Surely from a cost perspective, potential promotions such as Cradley, Coventry Peterborough and the likes would see it as a sustainable business model. Clearly not!
  16. I think some clubs saw it as a battle of the haves and have nots... but here we are some 30 years later in the same position only with half the tracks still running!
  17. I never saw what the issue was with the 1995/96 model. Everyone with an out and out number 1 and a selection of riders on 5 6 and 7 point averages. I thought it was great seeing different opponents every week, but clearly that's common sense 🤔
  18. It's not difficult to understand at all... but it's not better to finish 4th than 6th, 8th or 9th in the qualifiers as this puts you in LCQ2 with less points on offer. Your destiny is in your own hands finishing 1st to 4th in the overall meeting, whereas 5th to 10th seems to be a bit of a lottery.
  19. You're better finishing 3rd than 4th; 5th than 6th; 7th than 8th and 9th than 10th. It's not that difficult to understand.
  20. So you're better to finish 3rd, 6th, 8th or 9th in the heats than 4th, 5th, 7th or 10th because that'll put you in LCQ1 where the points for finishing 1st, 2nd, 3rd or 4th in that race is 1 point more than it is in LCQ2. Finish 4th in the heats and you're in LCQ2 finish 9th and you're in LCQ1... finish 2nd in either and 4th highest race points scorer gets 11 points and 9th highest gets 12 🤷‍♂️ But then you could finish 10th in the heats and win the bloody thing... I'm sorry it's just wrong in my book. I think I'd just prefer it if the same points were awarded for finishing 2nd, 3rd & 4th in the LCQ's. Ideally they'd be racing each other for the points but that doesn't seem to be the way these days. Good GP tonight though for what it was 👍🏻
  21. You don't get a chance to score an extra point, you get the extra point if you've scored higher than the same finisher in the other LCQ scored in the heats. LCQ1 - 3rd, 6th, 8th, 9th LCQ2 - 4th, 5th, 7th, 10th. I see the argument that if you've finished 3rd on points, and are in LCQ 1, then you'll get more points for finishing 2nd than whoever finishes 2nd in LCQ 2 does. That's just the advantage of scoring the 3rd highest points score though. If the 5th placed rider from LCQ2 finished in the same position as the 6th placed rider did in LCQ 1, they'd get more points because of their score in the heats.
  22. Tyre blow out of the season award? 🤔
  23. Send it down here then 🥵🥵🥵 Our lowest temperature is 24/25 next week and some of the 'feels like temp' is 35 esp on Mon/Tues. Glad i don't have to prepare the track! Made me laugh on the news earlier 'no heatwave in Scotland, not even close.' They going to have a shock when they come down on Weds!
  24. Well he was on Belle Vue & SGP socials collecting some Anlas award on behalf of Bewley. Assume he managed the Australian SoN2 team last night.
