  2. Is handing out sweets and having someone dressed up like an extra from Paw Patrol really going to bring speedway into the 21st century? It's just the old ideas being regurgitated. So basically get three of the people whose old school thinking has helped us get into the state we're in. The sport needs a dictator, who will run the sport with a view to making profit and without the rose tinted glasses. Sadly I don't think it can be run at a profit, which is why it will die a death in the next few years.

  4. Plymouth have announced Season Ticket / Admission prices. 8 League, 2 BSN, 1 KO Cup included
  5. Why hasn't this thread been pinned???!!! But 2024 and 2025 is still topping the list? OK How do you get threads pinned?
  6. The 'best way' depends on the club and it's supporters. Drip feeding can have a negative effect if everyone knows the riders identities anyway.
  7. Yes you are, keep doing it, we all need a good laugh in these trying times!!
  8. For some reason I was getting James Pearson & Connor Bailey mixed up! Pearson doesn't fit, but Harrison could be worth a shot.
  9. This is a forum, I'm allowed to post my ideas!
  10. This year they started 0.96 below the limit. Doesn't happen often for a team that wins the league.
  11. I seem to remember a very similar situation/argument with Kerr this time last year, whereas in practise it turned out to be more a matter of form and mechanical reliability.
  12. Yes, I believe you are right about that. However it may be that Speedway is finished by then, unless something is done to improve things.
  13. Agree, it's far from anywhere but a great wee set up. I'd love to go again in February.
  14. Only problem with Gilkes is keeping him fit, which he doesn’t have a great track record at.
  15. Agree there I feel Tobi done great for Poole but I feel Gilkes is a better rider and at no2 will be rock solid and could even change to no4 and Bowes go to number 2 I do feel Gilkes is a very shrewd signing just needs to stay out of trouble. if Zach and Cooper finish the team off I really like the riders in the number 2,4,6&7 positions much more excitement than the start of last year that’s for sure. And also a lot of potential in those 4 riders. Very happy Pirate fan
  16. Was it actually a case of Tobias out Gilkes in. I don't really care, because much as I think Toby did a a job for Poole over the last two seasons, Toby had reached his level but Dan has the potential to go far further. A shrewd signing. Assuming it is Zac and Cooper I'm a happy bunny.
  17. And if Ipswich and/or Sheffield don’t get new owners then it leaves Belle Vue, Leicester and Kings Lynn with nothing to run?
  18. I’ve always said this. Should have GP’s on a variety of different shapes and sizes of tracks. Would make it much more interesting. On the sale front, I know these things can take time to resolve but they really need to get a shift on. It’s clearly holding things up for everyone concerned. Not sure on the Sheffield situation and if it’s the same scenario. Have the current Sheffield promotion said they’ll run even if a buyer isn’t found, or is running next year solely down to a successful sale?
  19. throws a spanner in the works .. but FIM Europe don't pay very well
  20. Doesn’t have to be Ipswich but I’d love to see a Grand Prix and tight technical track
  21. I don’t think Connor is riding this year but Luke Harrison on 4.97 would fit nicely?
  22. Plenty of winter activities planned, how teams announce there lineup is down to them. Personally I don’t think there is a wrong or right way it’s solely down to what way suits them.
  23. Ah thank you, in which case I stand corrected. Does mean Poole would have been a point below the limit
  24. Beau would have arrived on a 4.00 I believe
