Is It Finally Time For One League?
marko replied to TheSmiler's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
They say it can’t get any worse, with the current lot in charge, oh yes it can! Everytime a new promoter comes into the sport with fresh ideas like Stuart Douglas did, they get pushed back by the old guard who continue to drive it into the ground. -
They can’t possibly claim they can’t run an extra meeting because of costs when the reason given for the club ending is down to the stadium? Does that mean had the stadium been available in 2026 Birmingham would have continued or is the stadium issue just a smokescreen for the fact Tolley can’t run a bath let alone a speedway club.

Just make the rule that heat 15 is between the top 2 scorers on the night, then there is no arguments. -

These guys are professionals. They will earn hundreds of pounds if they win Heat 15. A big hitter will be unhappy to be "rested" from the race in case he gets hurt....... - Today

In addition to this, before the play down, in which it is now known that Stal should participate in, the club will hold a conference to release details of the future of the club. -

ShanoXtra replied to racers and royals's topic in International World of Speedway
Morning All! Yesterday morning a meeting was held at Stal Gorzów for the future of the club and the 2026 team. These are the decided riders that are wanted by the club for the 2026 line up. These riders have been contacted and finance is now being finalised with the agreement between all parties, if Stal remain in the top league: 9. Jack Holder 10. Piotr Pawlicki 11. Andrzej Lebiediew 12. Jakub Krawczyk (u24) 13. Przemystaw Pawlicki 14. Oskar Paluch 15. Adam Bednar Thomsen prawdopodobnie do Leszna -
I do wonder if this is a missed opportunity to actually make a profit for once. A Birmingham versus Wolverhampton or Coventry could be a great crowd puller Many neutral fans will also attend a final meeting too. Newcastle wolves and Peterborough all had massive crowds for their finale. Peterborough individual had a quite uninspiring line up and the place was packed.

In light of the close match in the BSN Trophy I admit to being a little uneasy before the meeting today and felt we would miss Antti . The uneasiness proved unfounded as both Fraser and Batch produced their best performances of the season to see us home with relative ease. 7 points from R/R was a decent return while the team produced a solid performance throughout with 11 heat winners and only 3 last places. Scunny proved not to be the same force as they were in that BSN meeting with only Steve Worrall and Connor Mountain winning races. Hard to gauge how good this win was when Jake Allen , Declan Kennedy and Simon Lambert score only 2 points between them . Declan was particularly impressive on his last visit scoring an impressive 10 points on his own. The Scorps today were probably as bad as we were on our BSN visit to the EWR so would have been hard watch for any of their fans that made the journey. Thanks to the Plymouth Fans who made a visit following the cancellation of their meeting at Berwick 👍. Thanks also to any other fans making the journey to take in the meeting. I believe we were lucky with the weather today as the north east has apparently been deluged. Tough match coming up at Poole midweek followed by an attractive home fixture next Saturday against the Redcar Bears. They have had the better of us recently and I'm sure the boys will be looking to reverse that trend. Should be a cracker so get down, bring someone if they're willing, make some noise and create some atmosphere. UTC !👊
