  1. Past hour
  2. I think he's a classic case of just doing enough. Look at last night, none of the other finalists managed double figures in Landshut, but he just keeps getting to the final. I'd love to see him be truly tested but I don't think he will be this season.
  3. I know Clive Featherby has died but did he have a son also called Clive? Just wondering if it was him on this week's Breaking Dad programe with Bradley Walsh. It was in Brisbane and Monster Truck racing.
  4. FIM Speedway site is very quiet about them, seem to have qualifying at 2pm on race day so when do they fit in the sprint?
  5. Lindsey guest for Bewley, Howarth guest for Kildemand & K Thomson guest for Blodorn on Monday. Think I'll give it a miss
  6. Only because the FIM complete cock-up of that 4 way (?) tie at Cardiff a few years back that they stupidly changed the rules to no head to head but fastest times !!
  7. I prefer the cooler temps, according to the news we only have weather in the South and South East.
  8. i dont think zmarzlic is riding poor, he is still on top of his game , i just think some of the other riders have upped their game, but not as consistantly.
  9. I agree, this was the most unfair part of it all. I know we've always had this rule that a crash/EF is considered worse than a straight zero, but Fricke scored more than him in the heats. It wasn't even like they were tied.
  10. I would assume they did try to sign any suitable riders that were available but obviously unsuccessful.
  11. Today
  12. That's my opinion as well we are just not seeing best of BZ yet wonder what's amiss but he still manages to stay on or near the top . I do think that Prague is not his best hunting ground for him a final and third place is more than an acceptable result . .
  13. They may not finish bottom but that does not mean they should not have taken the opportunity to strengthen the team assuming there were riders available and willing to ride for Scunthorpe.
  14. Thinking take air fence away might slow them down. Also would bunch them up a bit to create closer racing like the old days!!
  15. Despite not being a fan of Jack Holder, I found it grossly unfair that Madsen (11 points) got seeded to the Final when Jack (11 pts) had beaten him in Heat 19. I could however, agree with heat times being the criteria if there had been 3 riders tied.
  16. If my memory serves me right, weren’t it you who started up this thread in the first place. Now it’s come around and bit you on the arse.
  17. It certainly doesn’t, you’re right. To the point that although I have a season ticket, I haven’t bothered to attend a couple of home meetings. All seems a bit drab this year without that sparkle of Emil/Doyle. Needs rectifying this winter if I’m to part with my cash again next year.
  18. Yeah. That was the point of saying they'd get a bonus point for winning all their races. Although, thinking about it, there are no points for the LCQs and if you scored 15 you wouldn't be in one so you'd only get 18. I think leave the points scoring as it is. It's fine.
  19. 5 qualifying races, 1 semi or LCQ and a final already provides the chance to get 21
  20. I wish they'd replicate MotoGP/F1 to an extent and group some of the further afield ones together. Start the season with Australia & NZ and then back to Europe. Probably easier said than done admittedly.
  21. The "have nots" have always seemed quite happy being a "have not" as it made their season cost affordable.... I suppose it all goes back to a lack of tangible big financial rewards for winning... No point spending excessive money you cannot afford, to come top, and increased costs being your only "reward"... And, as we know, win most of your home meetings and, regardless of where you are in the league, your crowds won't fluctuate much...
  22. Likely the only financially viable way to have a gp in the UK is to have 2 back to back. UK is an island and not as easy to get to as many other euro countries. Same as why no gp in Australia, and surely with 4 riders deemed good enough to be in the series it deserves a GP.
  23. I actually don't have too much of a problem with the scoring as you need to look beyond Program Board nerds to attract a wider audience. If they did do that, though, I would go for 20 points for the winner, with a bonus point awarded for going the whole meeting unbeaten,
