I'm speechless but so proud. What an unbelievable effort by the Gladiators. Let's not lose sight of the fact they were without Alfie Bowtell to start with. Ben having to withdraw very early into the meeting but they kept going and showed unreal fight for the badge. To push a full strength Pirates side that close at home, something we haven't done for a very long time shows just how good a group this side is. It's going to be some night at Plymouth on Saturday where crowds have been big and loud all season. It's kids fancy dress night too so expecting a good atmosphere. Guest choices for Plymouth will be key here but what an opportunity in front of them to get another 3pts. The playoffs might be a long way off but there's life in their chances for sure. Looking forward to covering this one on Gladiators TV, hope those who can't make it enjoy our coverage of what should be a cracking night of speedway - as it has been so many times in Plymouth this year already -
Poole struggling again it seems to put away a side at home The loss of Barker hasn’t helped and the reserves are poor so basically a two man Plymouth team keeping it close which is amazing Poole are out of form maybe they can find it come the play offs

Why is the Oxford track always so slick and dusty? It seems to me the water truck is woefully inadequate in putting enough water down at a time. a Scunthorpe sized water truck would be much more effective in my opinion. I know they are limited to when they can have access to the track but with a better water truck the track could be soaked far earlier

Without his score you might just lose tonight though.

Did the Lemon say anything to Bewley and Kurtz before the Stupid Heat? Bewley throttle-jockeying off into the distance was of no use to the Aces - if he at least tried to hold up Sayfutdinov, and maybe even let Sayfutdinov go so he could try help Kurtz ... as it was his huge margin of victory in the race was of no benefit at all, when he could have at least tried all-or-nothing.

I don't often feel I need to stand up for SCB, but, in this case I do. If they don't implement the regulations they get rightly criticised, but when they do pull up a transgression they still get criticised. Perhaps for next season we could have an asterisk beside regulations that are discretionary.

It will be a great Sheffield team that you'll have next season with Musielak in it and Woffinden back! You won't see much action though with Birmingham gone and two other clubs seriously considering dropping down to the Championship - so I'd suggest that you be careful of what you wish for!! -

Nasty crash for Barker. High sided looks like collarbone. Walked carefully into ambulance. Excluded. Was under intense pressure from Rowe. -

Good Lord, yet another team tun up at Poole full of guests , shorn of their top riders. Surely they cannot fail to beat the patched up Plymouth side? Nice move to pitch Darren Ritchings against the poor Poole pair at 6and 7. Puts t hen under some serious scrutiny, especially if Starkers fails to deliver. Depite being harbourmaster champignon he must be in danger of being another discarded Poole rider if he doesnt pick up his performances ?? Let battle commence 🙂 -

Another very big crowd tonight. Nice to see a few Plymouth fans making the trip up.
