There's an element (albeit a small one) within the Glasgow support who are not very nice and i've noticed this creeping in over the past few years. 'Loutish' some would call it. Ashfield is not always the warmest and happiest place to be due to a minority of the fans although the staff are always lovely and hard working the whole year through and they deserve a mention because their work often goes unheralded.

Glasgow v Edinburgh Scottish Cup 1st Leg 11th July

https://www.speedway-forum.co.uk/forums/topic/99024-glasgow-v-edinburgh-scottish-cup-1st-leg-11th-july/?do=findComment&comment=4075363

From the middle order! Musielak had one bad ride but he also didn't lose the H2H battle on the night against Kurtz or Harris.

1-1 with Kurtz and 2-1 up on Harris, Rider of the Night and statistically our best Rider all season both Home and Away who let's not forget beat both Kurtz and Harris in Heat 11 when Belle Vue played a tactical sub against Tobi and Edwards.

Even more so when you consider Ipswich have won just one top tier title in almost thirty years...

Several of their fans on here have often made, almost smug, comments on how poor the crowd levels at other tracks are, and boasted that Ipswich have consistently had good crowds, regardless of success or not, all down to their loyal fanbase..

That one title seems to have increased expectations far in excess of their traditional position in the sport, which, has been one of doing "OK" most seasons, with some "yo-yo ing" between the top two tiers as and when the team struggled or the crowds dropped...

Given the cards dealt to Coleman I would suggest it worth putting some perspective to this season, and just be glad "someone" decided to buy the place, as it didn't look like too many were coming forwards to do so..

I hope his endeavors to more Speedway forward reach fruition, as that will also positively impact the Witches, and their fanbase continues to support him in his plans for the club...

Glasgow v Edinburgh Scottish Cup 1st Leg 11th July

https://www.speedway-forum.co.uk/forums/topic/99024-glasgow-v-edinburgh-scottish-cup-1st-leg-11th-july/?do=findComment&comment=4075347

Meeting won and lost at Number 1. Tried to be positive when the Comets signed Kemp, but in reality it's probably one of the biggest downgrades I've seen at Workington. Struggle to see how he was consistent enough to average 8 last season.

I remember watching him get a maximum at Newport for Rye in his debut season and you just knew he was going to be good, he stagnated for a year or so at Wolves and looked a million miles away from being a world champion but fair play to him.

He has the same amount of titles as Crump and Pedersen. Would you rate him as highly as them? Not for me. But for people to compare the likes of Andy Smith and Gary Havelock to him is a joke and shows how thick the poster must be.

Poole 2026

https://www.speedway-forum.co.uk/forums/topic/98435-poole-2026/?do=findComment&comment=4075345

Point a) They have KO Cup & BSN fixtures to fit in as well - so 8 League + 2 BSN (poss more) + 1 (poss more) KO Cup = at least 11 + poss extra BSN/KO Cup.

Collins and Morton were before my time.

Havelock was good in 92, but as you say benefited from a wet track, Jonsson messing up his first ride, Ermolenko losing his head because of the delay and conditions, and Nielsen being injured and subsequently not getting to Wroclaw. Havelock deserved the title, but was also in the right place at the right time.

Loram was probably the same. He was excellent in 99 and 2000, but helped by Rickardsson having two poor refereeing decisions go against him and Hamill being inconsistent. Loram and Havelock were both riders who were never likely to scale that peak again.

Screen I would say was as talented as Tai and on his day was brilliant to watch, but was always handicapped by his poor gating and never got over the leg break he had in 2001.

Tatum was a top rider, but tended to jump out of the way when someone showed him their back wheel. Also amuses me when he insists riders should just get on with it in wet conditions, when he was the first one putting his gear back in the van if he didn't fancy it.
